I have been trying to make a appointment for my son, I have called more than 12 times in the last 45min, the phone has been thrown down once in my ear, the rest of the time it just rings, this is horrible!!!

So my son needed some dental fillings, booked appointments at Arabian Ranches Mediclinic, the quotation came some 9700+ dirhams for two sessions. But since the appointments were not working with his college schedule, we booked him at another clinic, a bit farther in Al Barsha.
The quotation came at 2500 dirhams.
Now I need to know, what was the difference in price for?
    I've gathered a few theories
1- The posh landscape surrounding the Arabian Ranches Mediclinic
    2- The-not-really-parquet vinyl flooring
    3- they're robbing us

Called to make an app for this afternoon, was transferred to ‘billing’ who would let me know if my insurance is covered (why reception don’t have a comprehensive list of all the insurance they accept is beyond me) which rang out twice. Called reception again (different person) who said my insurance is not covered (not sure how he knows yet the other didn’t) he said my Gold insurance wasn’t covered but platinum and silver are managed to find the list provided by my insurance which does in fact specify this clinic as being covered by my insurance. Please educate your staff! Or at least provide them with the information they need! Wasted my time and you lost a patient!

Unprofessional, uninformed reception staff. I called to make an appointment for a procedure and asked if it was covered by my health insurance. I was asked to give my insurance conpany name and insurance plan. After rescheduling the appointment twice (once because I had an emergency and once because the doctor was sick) I show up only to be told that the standard test I booked the appointment for is NOT covered by my insurance. The hospital I usually go to does cover the test but I thought the Mediclinic is more convenient as it is closer. I will NEVER go to this Mediclinic again! Lied to and misled and had my time wasted Unprofessional staff

Our regular paediatrician is at Arabian Ranches Mediclinic Dr Indira Bakija, she's wonderful with my baby & always very caring and efficient. She listens and gives very good advice and doesn't like to give lots of medication if it's not necessary. Appointments aren't usually on time but for me I don't mind at all because it's important that time is given to patients who need it and the lovely nurses always come to explain and apologise for running late. The receptionist staff are also welcoming, friendly and very helpful. It is always very clean and all round a good experience.

I've had to visit this branch a couple of times this week and I'm absolutely exhausted at the biased behavior of the billing staff.

I sense that they discriminate on the basis of your religion and find a reason to belittle you. For example, they will purposely give you a hard time on your insurance coverage although the same aspect encounters no issues elsewhere.

I particularly compared the behavior of the Philippino billing staff on duty this Saturday with other billing staff. She was an absolute bully but in a allusive manner.

This is not the first time of this kind of behavior at this clinic and I regret coming here because of it. Fortunately the nurses and medical doctors are quite humble so I will not consider abandoning the clinic absolutely.

My wife also received an incorrect diagnosis from a doctor here, where a visit to another doctor at another clinic (not a Mediclinic!) cleared it up. Had she not gone for a second opinion she would have been an amputation risk.

The staff are consistently unfriendly and obviously unhappy – and most importantly, the doctors are not competent. They do their best to make up for that with an attitude of unshakable confidence – but their confidence is not going to make you well again. And it could make you worse.

It's very important that you find a better clinic, especially for matters that are serious. Every personal experience with this clinic has been negative.

Awful clinic. Rarely answer phone. Grumpy reception staff. Over priced. After 3 days of fever and excessi e coughing we take our son there. Doctor listens to his breathuing says no problem just a little wheezing, he just has bit of infection and only give antibiotics if persists 2 more days. Well 2 days later he in hospital and they have diagnosed him with pneumonia. Absolutely disgraceful.
