Very very beautiful modern architecture! Natural lighting and all giving you a grand futuristic almost poetic vibe. Combination of natural colour of materials that they use as indoor and outdoor is excellent.
The museum collections surely different from Louvre Paris. Nonetheless it's still interesting worth to visit. Located next to the water, the outside part of the museum also quite a view. We were there at a very very good timing. The sunset view behind the museum was a wonder itself.response / report this review -

What a great space. I enjoyed the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The building itself and the design was very impressive. Very clean lines to the building. Once you get inside it's not overcrowded with art but it's nicely spaced out and a lot of rooms so make sure you find yourself self getting to all of the available rooms to see the artwork and there is more coming.

Amazing adventurecovers a lot of eras. Highly educational and fun at the same time. They also offer membership programs which guarantee good discounts. Although I'm not an art fan, this place still amazes me with the sheer number of artifacts and paintings of cultural as well as historical importance. A couple of coffee shops here(one inside and the other outside). These guys have special events scheduled throughout the year.

I will probably only visit Abu Dhabi once in my life but I was so lucky to visit the Louvre museum while I was there. I was even privileged to see Rodin's The Thinker on its year-long visit. What wonderful timing. The museum is amazing, a real homage to the Paris version and Abu Dhabi are honoured to have somewhere like this. I was actually staying in Dubai but the trip to Abu Dhabi to see the Louvre was well well worth it. Highly recommended.

The best aspect about this place is that the monument is as much of a spectacle as all the artifacts and artwork it homes. With breathtaking architecture, it's easy to fall into its alluring charm, but all the rich history and heritage manages to snap you out of it and put you back on track.
The priceless collection includes a rare, and unearthed, Picasso artwork, and a plethora of artifacts from the Mediterranean and Central and East Asia.
After the expansive 2-hour tour, you are free to explore the rest of the place, grab a bite at the local cafe, or go for a round of kayaking. There's also a lovely boutique at the end where you can shop for a myriad of art and historic stuff.response / report this review -

Good morning,
we went there early in morning to enjoy sunrise and breeze at waterside.
It wasn't a trip to museum itself but surely this was amazing experience to be there.
Very nice weather, sightseeing, the kayaking, building of museum looks so beautiful with bright light coming out of the roof. The echo sound coming from the roof itself gives you thumbs-up 👍 experience.
Would like to go little early for some jogging around it and on the other side of building to enjoy sun rise over the top of the museum roof.response / report this review -

It is an impressive building with a lot of history and art in every corner. Their special exhibitions are usually great as well. They have free entry from time to time for different professions which speaks a lot of their greater mission in spreading knowledge to the masses.

This place is not only for museum lover but for the not museum lover too. You will just fall in love with the dome. The architecture is jaw dropping.
When the light comes out from domeit feels like rain of light..looks absolutely amazing.
You can also enjoy evening snacks by the sea

Well, this is a place you must visit. Amazing architecture of the building, its showing that they invest a other of mobey. But honesty we were expecting to see some art pictures as well but discovered only some ancient things. It's interesting though must visit. Reasonable ticket pricing

Fabulous experience, is a perfect place for take friends or go with family, isn’t only about the art the museums has, is the architecture, the surroundings which made this place a must visit in Abu Dhabi.
You can spend many hours here, someone I know was here for 6 hours, for me took only 4 hours, it’s amazing one of the best museums I’ve ever seen, also if you just wanna enjoy the surroundings like sitting on the grass and take a little walk around for the architecture appreciation is good too, however in summer you wouldn’t find any shade but you can visit at night :) I’ve seen many families having picnic in the grass.response / report this review -

Good place for art and history lovers. Ticket is little bit on the higher side. Half museum is on land and half at sea. Beautiful Structure. More french nationals visit this place. Good facilities like tab with voice assistant which will give you a complete description about the art. Include things from old age to modern age. Must visit place if you are in Abu Dhabi.

The overall experience of this museum exceeds your expectations. Very rich in historical and contemporary artwork content with a clear and guided path. The narrative carries you through time along the museum and you get to see history unfolding contextually around you. After you've had a chance to enjoy the artwork, you are once again greeted by the magestic architecture of the building which is an artwork in itself. make sure to experience this museum in different hours of the day because the play of light and shadow under the dome will change drastically throughout the day.

Visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi yesterday and was very proud of the job that the UAE has done by coming together with the Louvre France to open this smaller yet wonderful museum.
The selection of items have been paired by really smart topics such as: communities, the art of war, the art of trading, the different kinds of religions and so on. So rather than separating relics by their places of origin they were able to gather them from a different perspective.
The museum is highly prepared to receive many visitors as its facilities are ample and user friendly. The layout makes it easy to go through all of the museum and it takes usually from 2.30 to 4 hours depending on how art-friendly each visitor can be.
Architecture and design are two main aspects of the museum: the dome looks like the insides of a watch and the symmetry breathtaking.

Well I visited the Louvre in Paris recently before Abu Dhabi and was mesmerized , then I visited the new Louvre in Abu Dhabi and I can tell you it's truly unique and amazing piece of art . It's very organized and easy to enjoy , there is a kid section which is very good for parents visiting with children.
There was an exhibition when I visited it last time titled "from one Louvre to another" and it was amazing.
I feel truly blessed to be a resident of Abu Dhabi , where we have so many things to be proud of and a truly international Spirit .response / report this review -

Modern architecture blends with history and culture. Advise to go early (10am) since parking fills up on peak days. Plenty of taxis (too many!) available later on. Very cool ambiance of white marble and the sea on the outside. The collection is not huge compared to some large city museums but will easily fill a couple of hours viewing and wandering. What is impressive is the breadth of pieces from ancient history through to the contemporary and modern, religious to agnostic. Excellent selection of art related books can be purchased in the shop along with other souvenirs. Stepping out of the walled museum areas and arriving under the amazing roof is a final bonus; this is a successful fusion of arabic design and modern, complex architecture.

Beautiful place. Worth visiting by everyone, but your interest will decide how long you stay. I stayed 5 hours, others have stayed up to 7, but as an absolute minimum set aside 1 hour. IMPORTANT TIPS: 1) buy your ticket online to avoid long ques in the morning 2) download their app, it has a good description of many of the objects in display 3) Afternoons are usually less busy than mornings.

Really tge world's must see place. Stuff are very kind and helpful. Architecture is the best and art pieces just fabulous. As for me I like the second part of the exhibition the most, more rare and outstanding pieces of 19, 20, 21 centuries. So I recommend to safe your energy and strength to the last venues.
Please wear some warm jacket on because sometimes it is cold in the museum.
It would be better if there would be a straight shuttle just from Dubai, because the public transport route is really exhaustive.response / report this review -

Wonderful, world class architecture! The way the building is extending to the water is magical. The dome is impressive. For the architecture alone it's worth going and enjoying with a nice coffee and a great croissant in the museum cafe. Unfortunately the exhibition itself is boxed in and does not make much use of the beauty of the building. Eclectic collection spanning a geography and time frame that is too large even for this big museum to cover. Missing a bit of a coherent, fascinating story and some real highlights.
