Was my second visit here. Earlier one was during the day after which I had to leave so this one was in the evening. It has a completely different visual experience in the night! Very beautifully lit and extremely calm place to be at. If you are planning to visit, choose your time to experience it at day as well as at night.

Incredibly beautiful. It takes three hours at least. Bring a power bank with you because your cellphone will not be enough. Be careful of your dress if you are a woman! I had to take on my second T-shirt, too under my white long blouse, because it was told transparent. Don't be suprised if they search your bag after X-ray checking! Melinda

Rising majestically from beautifully manicured gardens and visible from each of the bridges joining Abu Dhabi Island to the mainland, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque represents an impressive welcome to the city. Conceived by the first president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed, and marking his final resting place, the mosque accommodates 50,000 worshippers and is one of the few in the region open to non-Muslims.

Amazing architecture to see and admire. Very nice learning experience and to get introduced to the local culture and heritage. Must see for everyone visiting Abu Dhabi.

No shoes allowed. Females must wear a long gown, it's given by the entrance for free. Hair must be covered with the hood of the gown at all times when within the territory. No hugs, kissing, taking sweet pictures with one's loved one. No walking in the center square of the mosque. Security is present everywhere. It is allowed to take pictures inside and outside of the mosque. At night lights go on.

Amazing place very serene and magnificent. Slow season now with refurbishment of car parks taking place with only one entrance. best time to visit around 5pm just before sunset and stay until after to see in daylight and after when the lights go on.
