One of the best museums in Al Ain that exhibits artefacts that dates back to stone age. Lots of pottery from the region that are of high historic significance. You would need at least 2 hours to see all. Entrance fee is a nominal 3 dhirhams.

A place worth visiting By name of palace I was expecting to be a magnificent building but its a very simple building free from traditional luxuries but person living here have build up the whole country and brought glory to his country and today people love him as they love their father.
Very simple, decent building, well maintained, with a wonderful view of city, fountain, traditional dates trees..
A room inside has the family tree of nahyan family
I really enjoyed the visit here it was really amazing to imagine that a king living in such a simple but decent palace has taken the whole country to height of success and glory.

Oh, I love the Alain Museum, many things I wouldn't know ever about the Arabic culture or some of them I wouldn't believe exist but after the visit to Alain museum I can make it sure that the Arabic culture is rich in history and the UAE has maintained it very safely. You can explore the old and the new Arabic culture in Alain museum for sure.

A fascinating museum next to the wonderful Al Ain Oasis. Contains relics, stone engravings, armour and tools ranging from the neolithic up to the 20th century. Short but sweet.

Quaint little museum attached to a small fort. Lots of antiquities from the country on show. It's 3 AED per adult for a visit, maybe it should have been free. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no taxi line. Getting a taxi means a walk to the nearest main road across a car park.

Al Ain National Museum is one of the oldest museum in United Arab Emirates and itis located nearby Al Ain Oasis.
The Museum houses a collection of archeological artifacts from digs around Al Ain and other areas in UAE is probably one of its kind in UAE - you get a fairly good idea of the life in these parts from Stone Age to recent times. The museum also has a good collection of gifts presented by various dignitaries to UAE rulers. A fantastic collection of miniatures featuring Father of the nation and a good collection of photographs featuring early days of the nation also makes this museum more interesting.
Although the museum is small, it offers a window to a world that is hardly ever seen in Europe or the West. The staff were very friendly, but there is no guided tour of the museum.

The oldest museum in the UAE, Al Ain National Museum was established in 1969 under the guidance of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Charting the history of Al Ain from the Stone Age through to the foundation of the UAE, the museum houses artefacts discovered in the many archaeological sites scattered throughout the region, including flint tools and arrowheads dating to the sixth millennium BCE.

Al Ain was a wonderful place full of history and culture.
The oasis itself is great, but the museum is marvelous. Full of ancient artifacts and ethnographic information.
The Fort is stunning.
