The first car of the Kia brand was the Brisa sedan, which was released in 1974. It became a real "people's car", with sales volumes exceeding 1 million copies.

Genesis

The history of SsangYong began in 1954, when Ha Dong Hwan Motor Company was established. Its name was changed several times, but in 1984 it was called SsangYong Group. From the Korean language the name translates as "two dragons". In the early years, the brand produced Jeep cars for the U.S. Army, and then mastered the production of civilian transport. Of the off-road vehicles, the Korando was the first to see the light, which was very similar to the Jeep Wrangler.

The company's financial heyday came in 1988. This allowed for several investments, including the purchase of the British manufacturer Panther. From 1991 to 1993, this division of the company produced two-seat Panther Kallista roadsters.

In 1991, the company began working closely with Mercedes-Benz AG. The main goal of this company was to produce modern commercial vehicles and engines.

Renault Samsung Motors
