Wonderful family get-together weekend at Wawielpark. The resort is well-maintained. They could do with some more activities though. There are no longer quad bikes. The river was too high, flow was too fast, so unfortunately no paddle boats or canoeing. Pools were kept clean even though the resort was full.

It's very beautiful, fun and relaxing, there are a lot of activities and the view it's amazing, you can see the vaal river as it flows, a variety of pools and slides, it's really the perfect place to be for fun on holidays

Visited Wawielpark before. The second stay was a bit of a let down. Apparently we were too early in December for the park to fill up and many of the facilities were limited and the supertube was broken twice. There was a bit of an altercation between guests and day visitors. The owner was driving around on his four wheeler blissfully unaware of the issue while it was going on. My first stay was excellent and I enjoyed it very much.

Lovely place 4 an outaing with the family. Camoing facilities are gr8 clean bathroom facilities. Swimming pools with slide. Putt putt 4 the kids

Place is amazing and clean, the camp sites are great just bring a comfy mattress as you set ur tent up on concrete, water is spotless and blue and staff are all friendly and whilling to help, had an amazing weekend with friends

The warm waterpool is over crowded. The beds in the chalets are horrible. But the staff is friendly, eager to help and will go the extra mile. The biggest problem we has was with people "stealing our spot" while we were in the water. Came back to a group sitting on our towels etc. Not the fault of the resort but rather the quality of the people visiting.

Relaxing atmosphere. Kids kept busy. Convenient braai facilities. Only downside is the road to the park and distance between day visitor parking an braai facilities.

Really nice place! Tigers, lions, llamas, camels and more animals to see close by. Heated pool and wavepool! a Really cool out of the ordinary playground even adults can enjoy! Better than I expected in every way. Recommend it!

Beautiful, clean place. Friendly service. Lots of swimming pools, Vaal River passes right here, paddle boats, putt-putt, bicycles, nice picnic spot, lots of braai stands, clean chalets.
One snag though, all signs are in Afrikaans.response / report this review -

There ar a ton of things to do, swings,slides, out and indoor swimming pools 🏊. They have canoeing, bicycle 🚲 and camel 🐪 rides. There a camping sites, economy and middle class type accommodation. They also have a gaming room with 🎱 snooker. Lost of space for long walks. Not the kind of place you want to wear heels to, there is a long gravel road and the mall is about 25 minutes away so stock up and don't forget your insect repellent. Mosquitoes Galaore I went I. The summer though.

It's nice but very costly for a spot between the mines. Few would be able to stay for long. Lots for the kids to stay busy
