We typical sit here with a case of. "I am always right, I know the best" You wrote in your false review below "Management were utterly useless in trying to resolve the matter and were in fact, not interested in correctly the issue.

Management done everything to solve the case for you as a client.

I done the lie detection tests and investigation.

I send the report to you dated 21st July 2017.

When do you stop making false allegations?

Seven months later you still carry on with this, what is wrong with your people?

I wrote in my report to the client:

I read your client’s email and based my investigation purely on his allegations.

I however have a problem with most of his allegations. He made remarks that has nothing to do with him, nor is he trained or have the qualifications to make these allegations.

The complainant wrote: "A friend of mine who builds, confronted Luke and said that Luke was very nervous when he confronted him as it was his gift that is missing."

Then it must have been the same friend that threatened Luke with the words:
1. “I will F*&^king kill you” and
2. “I will F*&king brake your legs”
There were also witnesses that heard the threats.

The following was noted after testing the individuals:
1. No staff member used the toilets that night.
2. No staff member took or stole anything (in particular the missing envelopes) from the guests that night.
3. No staff member quickly burned the rubbish the next morning to get rid of any evidence.

It is the first time that Luke, since he started working here, were accused of theft or any wrongdoing.
There were ± 80 guests that night, mostly were young people. Hearsay - most were under the influence of alcohol, maybe one of your guest took your money / presents, ever thought about that. Do the complainant know all the guests, did the thought ever cross his mind that it could be one of them?

If staff members steal an envelope with money, do you really think they (he) will go into the guest toilet, open the envelopes there and throw the evidence out the window; or steal the envelopes, go outside and throw the evidence (empty envelopes) just outside for everybody to see? What do you know of stealing patterns of staff members, any stealing patterns that people follow during theft?
Did it ever cross his / your mind that one of the guests could have taken the envelopes, went to the toilet and threw the evidence through the window?

Let us not throw false and ungrounded accusations around, nor threaten each other with it; it is very dangerous – be warned.
My investigation regarding the case is finished and there is no need to do any further investigations from your side. None of your staff or personal is guilty to any of those ungrounded, falsely, allegations made against them.

Your client is more than welcome to “lodge a case at Boschkop SAPS”, I will gladly assist the police in any further investigations. I will also gladly assist you to take the case further regarding the allegations and threats made against your employee if you wish to do so.

AVOID! Had my 21st hosted there, envelopes full of money and gift vouchers from the gifts table were stolen by during the event. Management were utterly useless in trying to resolve the matter and were in fact, not interested in correctly the issue. Would give zero stars if possible and would strongly advise anyone avoids this place.

Beautiful wedding and function venue. Great food served at the wedding we attended. Setting, garden and overall look of the venue is perfect for your wedding!! Staff is well tended to your needs!

Very disappointed in the management of this establishment as guest are seen to know little to nothing in comparison to the management staff. Incidents were poorly handle by the management that left a sour taste to the venue itself.

So dissapointed in the management of this venue. Went to look at the venue to possibly host our wedding there - lovely place and we could really see ourselves get married there. But it has been 3 weeks and no-one from the venue came into contact with us again. Emailed them a week ago to request a quote after we have been waiting two weeks with no communication from them (eventhough I was told the day of the viewing they will send me a quote) and a lady replied and said they will send me a quote, but still nothing. Luckily we found another venue in the mean time and did not put our hearts in Watercrest. So glad that I don't have to deal with them in organising a wedding.

False advertising in terms of pricing s d quality. We attended a wedding there in December and booked one of the houses. On their website the unit is priced as R1100. It says nothing of having to pay per person. Upon arrival we were informed we had to pay R400 extra for 2 kids! The whole house were teeming with spiders, dirty with dust, no coffee, DSTV was not working, and out of the so called clean towels, little red spiders were crawling out! Plus when we got into bed, upon opening the duvet, we found hairs on the sheet. Disgusting. The managers was very unhelpful, just shrugging her shoulders. Saying there is nothing to do about the DSTV. Why advertise it as such then? I am paying for something I am not getting. Will not recommend staying there to anyone. My kids had spiderbites on their arms the next day. Poor poor service and overpriced.

I got married at Watercrest this summer The venue is beautiful. The gardens are green throughout the year. Maryn is very helpful and sufficient and the chef makes a mean chicken pie.

In contrast with the negative review I just read, I would like to comment as follows:

I completely disagree with the statement and will refer Watercrest Venue to anybody. The staff is extremely competent and the service is excellent.

When I booked the venue a while ago, I was informed that Brides who book the ENTIRE venue, together with the accommodation for all rooms for their guests as well as the Chapel, get first preference and choices than people who ONLY want to book accommodation and get married at another venue or ONLY want to book the Chapel and Reception entertainment area and want to sleep with their guests at another hotel / bed and breakfast and or only want to use their venue for ONLY sleep over but get married at another venue.

The owner himself, took the time to meet me and with a pleasant attitude explain to me, that first come first serve CAN NOT be fair to people who book the entire venue with all included to people who ONLY want specific orders. I completely understand this - afther-all this is a wedding venue with accommodation with a Chapel, a beautiful garden, entertainment areas with excellent and outstanding staff and services.

Even though I booked, months ahead, with Watercrest and paid in full all cost, for ONLY accommodation for ONLY a Saturday night and breakfast the Sunday morning for ONLY my guests, and because I am a business woman myself and mature enough to understand how business is operating in the real world, I did keep in mind that it might be cancelled due to a bride who want to book the entire venue. And obviously and confirmed, I will be refunded as any business deal works.

Because of my good attitude and understanding, the owner offered [if i had to cancel my booking for ONLY accommodation for one night - because of a Bride who book after my booking the entire venue] me and my husband a complimentary 2 x nights to stay with breakfast for any Thursday and Friday nights.

At the end of the day, and my conclusion, I always had this motto in live, that if you stick to the rules of any venue places - you come further in live and like always and I realise in my live that I am not the only person alive with only my own needs and if i do not get my way, go and tell the world just because I know I am actually one of the spoiled humankind.

I was very happy and thank you Watercrest, the staff and the owner!, for your kind assistance, service and help.

I will definitely refer Watercrest Venue and summarise them as GREAT!!!

Please reconsider future bookings at Watercrest Venue. Very unprofessional and unethical staff. They canceled my sisters booking, which have been fully paid 7 months in advanced, 8 weeks before her wedding. They were not approachable for negotiation. The owner went on about how many businesses he owns and that he is not scared of legal actions being taken. If this is the case, then he clearly does not care if any book at the venue or not since he does not need the money.

Think twice before you book at Watercrest venue!
