Camped here early 2018. Bathrooms are old in comparison with well managed resorts. Always had hot water. Unless you have a boat, which we don't have this resort is not for campers who are used to camping at conventional resorts with lots to do. Should we decide to go there again, it will for a day outing.
Bathrooms are neat, camp sites are nice and big. Struggling to regulate shower temp. Need shops and sinage to show where is what. No information given about what is available. To many day visitors. Ruble removle every day. And worker's are very friendly.
One of my favorite places its set in a beautiful environment. With the convenience of the dam, restaurant, nice rooms, campsite with great ablution, a church on sundays. close to shop’s and much more. Will see me again!!!!
We stayed in the rooms for one night to attend a wedding down the road. They should WARN everyone staying overnight that the hotel rooms are literally on top of a church which has an early morning Sunday service I absolutely would not have booked a room here for that purpose. A late night away with my wife, and kids at home with a babysitter, and a LONG overdue lie in completely ruined - especially since when you drive in to the place it specifically says no loud music. I have nothing against an early morning service but it should have been mentioned somewhere Myself and about 8 other wedding guests were simply not told of this at booking or checking in. Completely ruined any other positive reason to stay there
Clean and well maintained camp site with lawn. Spacious camping stands, hygienic and clean ablution blocks, electricity on stands and beautiful scenic view. Children playground is remarkable. Pools are sparkling. Noise can be a discomfort from a pocket of some few and isolated campers. Trust this will be resolved. That's is the only downside.
Beware, normal public can not go inside, security turned me and family back telling admission is only for people with boats and NO Admission if you dont have a boat . I checked their website and same thing mentioned there. We were very disappointed, any way we respected their policy and returned to the public resort which is 11 km away at Delmas. From outside this resort look great and busy with lots of people . Hope one day they will
Open gate for public who dont have a boat.
Surprisingly nice conference facility, nothing fancy but great nonetheless and the food is always excellent. Really affordable and only an hr out of Johannesburg. Staff are great!
Beautiful and clean gardens. Staff not so friendly. Nice room and view
Had a fantastic MTB race there. Beautiful place! Facilities was clean.
The resort is well laid out and the staff is very friendly. The campsites are large.. There are lots of trees, but they are small and there is no shade in the camp site. In the restaurant, our order was prepared in record time and everything was fresh. Here again, we sat outside to enjoy the view, but the lack of shade made it less pleasurable. The swimming pools are small and not heated as advertised. The function hall is large. Overall we enjoyed it. We will visit again.
The ablution blocks were very clean, modern and spacious. The camping areas lack a bit of shade. No Heated swimming pool as on their web. Resort caters for boat owners so NO fishing.
This is the worst place I have been in a long time. Boaters have no respect for the other people at the resort and don't follow the water rules. When we complained to one of the officials at the jeti we got told "he does not know what to do" Travelled all the way from the West Rand and was a complete waist of time and money. This resort only cares about their boat visitors and nobody else. I will not suggest this place to anyone ever. Bad news for the resort, you upset 3 well known fisherman in the industry. IF YOU ARE A FISHERMAN DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME ViSITiNG THIS RESORT!
Great for families, our son loved it. Facilities in rooms are very basic, but comfortable enough for weekend break. Nice pools and tube for kids to play around, plenty space for young ones to cycle and run around.
Lovely camping sites with easy access to the dam. Lots of shady trees and fixed shade-netting picnic sites. Ablutions very clean
Very quiet and peaceful even when very full. Plenty it water and electrical points available. Stayed for 10 days out of season. No special rate so turned out to be a very expensive time. Ablution blocks and pools were not maintained during the week while I was alone. Water pressure issues in the showers, either hot or cold no middle ground. As a long term resident laundry basins would be a bonus.
