Stopped for lunch and had a delicious home-made burger. Came with lettuce, tomato, cheese and barbecue sauce on it. Accompanied by crisp salad and great chips. They also serve the best Eisbein around. Well worth the drive for a day out. Also a great, reasonable place to stay with fabulous breakfast included.

Always enjoy my stay here. Rooms are comfortable. Food in the restaurant is pretty good. Breakfast takes a while so don't be in a hurry.

The little town is lovely and the hotel fits in withe Germanic surrounds and locals. Lovely for a quiet get away.

Poor facilities and service, No hot water in the evening, telephone not working in the room to cal reception, no hot water in the morning. Key must be turned twice o the door to lock it, not explained on check in. Food presentation and quality not of the standard as advertised.

Very good food, very comfortable setting. Service unfortunately is hit and miss. Edit was there 25/10/17 and best meal in ages service was top class. Keep it up Wartburger

Quaint venue. Expected a bigger variety of beer. Has a reputation for good food, but didn't get to sample it.

Wine by the glass is extremely expensive

Not too bad but definitely a bit more focus needed. I was here in 2007 for my bachelor's party and wedding and then most of the stuff could be updated. The lounge suite in the reception for example was 20years old in 2007, coming back here in 2016.. still the same old rickety wicker suite.

In 2007 it was privately owned, in 2016 its owned by the Orion group and you would have thought the Hotel would have been upgraded.

Sad thing is they removed the 9hole golf course.
