Cosy, comfortable and clean. Pleasantly surprised for the cost of the room per night. TV had most of the channels I enjoy watching.

Most horrible experience. It says self-catering, there is only a kettle in the room. When we booked in at 1 pm we were only told then that there was going to be a 40th birthday party that evening. Already by then right outside our little room there was a jumping castle with screaming children going up and down. We returned at about 10 pm from a wedding only to find that we could not even access our room - there were about 10 people drinking and smoking sitting on chairs outside our room. When we complained to the caretaker, who I think was part of the party, his response was 'what do you want me to do? This is a lodge after all'. I am still in the dark as to what that is supposed to mean. I find it very interesting that when we left at 6.30 in the morning all the cigarettes stompies had been swept up outside our room. NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED AT ALL, STAY AWAY.

I called and booked a room with Queen size bed. We pitch up with my 3 year old daughter. And the guy says his rooms are only for TWO! As far as i know. There is no hotel in the world that regards a 3 year old as an additional person in a room. A 3 year old or infant does not need a bed of their own. They can sleep with the parents. Pathetic!

It's OK for the price. Wi-Fi doesn't work in the rooms, no breakfast. You need to call to a phone number to get in, but if you have no cellphone there are no alternatives. Luckily another guest saw us standing at the door.
The owner is very friendly and talkative. I think is a good choice for an overnight stay in Harrismith.response / report this review -
