We used the Velmore hotel venue for a team building workshop earlier this year. Everything was well laid out upon arrival. Staff were a little slow to assist with a few required items but other than that everything was smooth sailing . The lawns are absolutely stunning and makes for a great photo op. There were also prayer facilities available which was much appreciated.

The place is beautiful, the food is divine however, this is not an ideal place to stay over. The staff is so loud throughout the night regardless of efforts to make them aware that they are disturbing. This went on the whole evening until around 02H00 in the morning. If you work hard during the day, then be aware that you will not have time to rest. The facilities are great but something needs to be done with the conduct of the staff. I wouldn't dream of coming back here to sleep over. My night was hell!

A nice environment in tune with nature. Classic bedrooms to spend the night. This hotel is in the outskirts of Pretoria and the first when coming from Jburg. The buffet is a delicacy you don't want to miss. The only challenge I had was parts of the large hotel compound not paved hence difficult to walk through when it rains otherwise It's a great experience to be home away from home.

Beautiful grounds with breathtaking views. Lucky and Shelly went above and beyond to assist with wedding planning. Staff in the Grand Hotel's bar should be schooled on customer service though.

The staff presence is very low. There is no number to call from your room if you want to contact housekeeping, reception maintenance. The building is grand, but it looks like there is furniture missing - maybe furniture was removed. Food options are only buffet, salad dis not look fresh at lunch. Food is mediocre.

Spend a night there after a conference. Place was dirty, flies was everywhere. Lunch and dinner was dry and didn't taste like anything. Breakfast was nice though. The shower didn't work properly and there was noise on the roof that woke me up a few times during the night. Friendly staff though.

Beautiful and clean place and lovely architecture. Staff very friendly. Food delicious and nutritious. Conference venues was cold in the mornings. Loved the place. Still to visit the spa.
