  I don't have TV at home, so when the Sharks are losing I can go watch it at my favourite lodge, The Umzimkulu River Lodge. I've never stayed in their chalet/cottage things but they look really nice. And the staff are all really good. Go for long walks, go fishing in the river ±20 steps from your bed, eat some Lekker food. Always a winner for a week/weekend away.

  Whenever we go to run the Sani Pass race, we stay at Umzimkulu River Lodge. The people who run it are such good people, they are reasonably priced and the lodges are so beautiful. One can rent a lodge per family, it is self-catering. Has a small animal farm, a river with tubes for swimming, and beautiful scenery. Very relaxing and so peaceful, make a holiday of it

  Breath taking views. Tranquil setting in the mountains. A place to escape to for revitalizing the soul. Star lit sky at night. Beautiful violent storms in the summer. One of the most relaxing places I've been to.

  Beautiful piece of paradise.
  Lovely seeing, tranquil and more than adequate accommodation. Hosts are friendly and always helpful. What a wonderful place!

  What a wonderful establishment, with incomparable views. I only managed to stop in for a meal with my family but Umzimkulu Lodge is definitely on my list of places to stay :)

  We stumbled across this Lodge when we saw people drifting down the adjacent river in tubes. This is a great place for residents and day visitors alike. The food was great. They have a games room and a small pool for those who don't want to get into the river

  Beautyfull surroundings. Fall asleep to the sound of the river. Can go kyaking from there to the falls 8 m drop. Will come back soon with a group to try or a guys weekend away to get away
