  The nicest game lodge. The luxury tents are superb, the food is great but the game drives are the best. Excellent sightings on every drive with Brad who is a knowledge and excellent ranger.

  Better than I ever could have imagined. Exceptionally well run Lodge - the staff couldn't do enough for you and were very very knowledgeable. Our guide, Sam, was absolutely outstanding. All meals were excellent, everything was spotlessly clean and the tents were very luxurious! I would definitely recommend anybody to visit. We stayed for 5 nights and didn't want to leave on the last day! - Just watch out for the lions in the camp!

  This is a magnificient lodge, with the most stunning view from your safaritent. Because it is a non-fenced camp, Impala's and Warthogs are just wandering before your tent. You just might even get visited by lions or elephants in the camp! Gladly Brad and Chantal keep you safe along the way.
  Best Africafeel you can get. Food and wine are great too.

  Fantastic lodge and exceptional guide Brad who showed us +-50 species of birds in the 3 hours morning game drive. Also included was 2 male cheetah looking to hunt and then some special wild dogs. All this in our one night stay. Many thanks we will be back to your tented safari camp.

  Fantastic private tented safari lodge situated in northern Zululand. Big 5 park with great sighting of endangered species like wild dogs,cheetah and black rhino. Brad the head guide was enthusiastic about all living and non living things spotted along the safari. Specialist in birding and photography. We would recommend Mavela

  The best experience in a Game Reserve we have ever had. Our guide, Sam, was very
  good. She took us twice a day to game drives and showed us four of the big five
  and cheeta with her young ones. The lodge
  and the tents were luxurious, so we enjoyed
  our four day stay.

  Situated in the Zulu Land Rhino Reserve, Mavela offers all the luxury of a 5 star Lodge at a fraction of the price. Unpretentious the lodge accommodation is in well furnished Meru tents all en-suite, with views over the valley. The Central Area, has a beautiful pool deck and serves first class meals.
