Best camp in the kruger! Rustic with no electricity and camping only. Allocated camping sites means no over crowding. After booking and getting your reservation number phone the Mopani Camp to pre book your specific camping site. Solar lights in ablution block with gas heated showers. We have always been lucky to see owls during every visit! We love it!

This is the best campsite in the Kruger! Lots of big trees provide much needed shade on those hot days and if you need to have a dip in the pool, you are allowed to use Mopani Rest camps pool. There are fridges available and the ablutions are clean and exceptional, where you have outside showers available. The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped us to spot a bush shrike and introduced us to the local resident owls. If you love camping and getting away from it all, this is the place for you!

Best “off the grid” campsite in Kruger. Absolutely loved my time here. Roger and his team do a great job keeping the site/braai/bathrooms clean. He is also always keen to point out the birds/owls in the site. The “outdoor” showers are a great experience too. This is a “low noise” site- which means it’s normally super quiet from 8pm.

Good for caravanning and campers. Quiet place with lots of bird life. Closer to the bush than the big camps. Hard-working staff keep it clean. Some sites very exposed to sun and some offer little privacy.

Excellent breakaway and bush camp. Well run.
Gas heaters in male toilets not working properly, despite technical attention. Shower goes cold if additional taps opened elsewhere. Water pressure consistency requires expert attention and fixing, especially taking that this is a flagship facility.

This is the place to be if you really want to experience the bush at its best. Great facilities with no electricity. We love it!

Facilities are great even though they don't have electricity in this camping area. There is a communal kitchen and toilets lighten by solar panels. Toilets are clean and hot water works perfectly. There is no view in this camp, only bush. But it is nice.

We make a point of sleeping one night in this great little camp when passing to other camps. Wish we could spend more, but our fridge need electricity.
Birds in the camp is fantastic. Roger and Lina, the camp management needs medals.

Been twice. Both times its been fantastically quiet and peaceful. Camp sites are nicely spaced. The outdoor shower is great. Facilities always clean. The noise of the bush when you wake up in the morning in your tent is hard to match. Makes a nice change to the rondavels I usually stay at.
