Place is well decorated but lightning and air conditioning was not enough. It was too crowded and they took us another place that is behind the bar it was like storage without windows that was not really nice. Coffee is good but there are better places for breakfast.

Good food & coffee in a uniquely shop-fitted space. Can be considered a bit pricey. Gets very busy at times which increases waiting times. Good experience overall.

The food they offer is quite unique and a rare find on a Sunday morning. Service was excellent. The coffee however I did not enjoy as much unfortunately. Nevertheless if given the opportunity I’ll come back again!

Massively intricate and beautiful temple to coffee. Industrial/Steam Punk decor teamed with friendly staff that know their stuff and some of the best coffee I've had, sweet without sugar and well rounded on the palate. Coupled with great cake and good beer (local craft) on tap. Prices a tiny amount above your average coffee shop but for the level of goods and service relieved you walk out of a good deal. A must see in Cape Town.

Decor is amazing and staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was great and the coffee was a bit to strong for my liking. Luckily they had decaf. Well worth the experience

Scooter day. Find a bunch of Vespa riders gathering at one of the best coffee places in the town before kicking of their fun rides.
First time here @ Truth Coffee and the experience is amazing. Coffee is super smooth and the aroma is elegant. Definitely high quality of roast and got unique touch from the brand. Also order a Benedict and the fresh food material is what u can sense from the first bite. The most charming part is the outdoor seat where you can get good sun tan to build up your energy along way with those nice caffeine. Highly recommended.

Service was fast, efficient, professional n friendly. The themed interior was beautifully decorated, incl the staff dress code. The food (poached eggs with salmon on toasted sourdough bread) was well presented n exactly to order. The coffee was devine. Food was lukewarm on presentation n that was the only criticism. The surprise breakfast spoil by hubby was a real treat. It was an experience to feed all my senses.

What an amazing first experience at one of the best coffee roasting houses in the world. Waited in line on a Sunday mid-morning just to get in! That should tell you how popular the place is. Get there early, find parking and just take in the strong coffee aroma which fills the entire place !!

The coffee tastes very "green" which is unlike any other coffee I have ever tasted. And the coffee is reddish in color as opposed to the usual brown. Reminded me of a red cappuccino but coffee. The service was great! Decor very funky. A bit pricey but worth seeing and experiencing.

Great coffee! Atmosphere is a cool vibe. People surf online with laptops. Finding a place to park is as expected in any city. It's loud inside so if you are looking for a place to hang out and laugh out loud with friends this is the place.

Truth, rated by some UK magazine's as the best coffee shop in the world, lives up to it's name. While somewhat pricey, the quality is something else and the atmosphere in downtown Cape Town is incredible. The food is sourced from the best ingredients and the coffee is an experience all on its own.

Park outside on the street and walk over. It's warm, friendly and the service is outstanding.

Ordered 2 Irish Coffees. We asked for one to have 2 sugars added before adding the cream, so that coffee and cream do not mix. This was initially refused due to barristers' stance on not adding sugar to coffee. We asked for the barrister to be approached and he agreed immediately to add sugar. However, the Irish Coffees were served in martini glasses, both coffees cold and the one with the sugar was clearly stirred after the cream was added. This at R150.00 for 2 Irish Coffees. Will not go back.

5 all the way. There is a reason Truth coffee is no.1 in the world and coffee cafe no.2.
Quite an experience. Every one visiting Cape Town need to at least have a coffee at Truth.
Everything is excellent. Food, coffee, dessert, service, place is clean etc.
Price outstanding for what you get, the best!

Super cool, trendy place. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but Truth has some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. The ambience and decor inside is really intriguing and inviting. Don't forget to stop by here when near the city.

I'd heard a lot about this place from friends and it definitely didn't disappoint. Steampunk vibe is great and service is fast even though it's busy. Also - their coffee is really great (which is the point, right?!)

If you are looking for the best coffee experience in Cape Town this is your place. The environment resembles 'Mad Max's and is absolutely great!

The pastries are delicious (they have own bakery) and chocolate croissant were perfect.

Cafe Latte was just perfect (they not offer sugar, you have to ask) and didn't required put on sugar. Just the best!

You can buy coffee bags (ZAR 98 225g).

Don't expect a great service, but the good worth it.

I strongly recommend.

An excellent place to visit. The look, feel and ambiance is totally different to "normal" coffee shops. The industrial look works well. This is first and foremost a coffee spot. Wide variety to choose, so ask the waiter for advice. The food was reasonable, but cannot particularly recommend eating here. Did not try the pastries. It was hot day, would have liked more ventilation. Pity they only offer standard size cups. Would have liked to have a choice of bigger size. Waiter service was good, can recommend popping in for the experience.

Upon arrival we were placed on a list to enter by a very friendly doorman. We waited less than 10 minutes outside until we were called to be seated.

We were sat at a long, crowded table with a few other people (I appreciate that they sat our group of four people, across from each other!).

The waiter was very informative and quick to assist us (even if the smallish sized coffee shop seemed utterly overcrowded! Tourist season, though). He was friendly, and patient to explain the menu's instructions to us, quite a few times. Which we all very much appreciated!

The views of the coffee shop's brilliant decor, couldn't be enjoyed fully with the amount of people standing around, unfortunately. We did have some pictures to show each other at the table though.

I enjoyed the coffee very much. I unfortunately did not have any food, but will definitely be trying next time.

Overall, a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be returning, outside of tourist season though!
