Oh my goodness! This is the place to be! 5 Star All the way! State of the art gym, clinic, spa and Hotel. The view! The decor and the furniture is unique and custom-made.

Awesome place. Facilities and staff are top class. Staff went out of their way to assist me as I was on crutches at the time of my visit. Food was also great. Stunning bird life to top t all off

Plus: Comfortable room Some friendly staff Heated indoor pool

Negative: Upkeep and maintenance of the facilities are poor. Food overall not very good. Limited menu and limited breakfast buffet. Staff can be friendly but are not generally. Overall very poorly managed. Staff sitting around when there's dirty bathrooms. Coffee maker not cleaned. Definately not 5 star. Can hear the tv on the other side of the wall in the next room. Pool table there just for decoration. No spa treatment info or even therapist to be found. The jacuzzi was cold sauna not working and steam room dirty. A genuine disaster and real disappointment. What a shame.

This place deserves 2 stars in terms of what you would expect of a 5 star hotel.

To talk about the good points, this hotel has a FANTASTIC gym and spa area. If you are a gym bunny then this is the hotel for you. I had a great workout!

As to the bad points:
1) if you are unfortunate enough to be placed in any of the rooms near the restaurant patio area - this will not be a tranquil experience, don't bother opening a window and have fun listening to the loudest of the hotels guests. Eventually we moved rooms, which solved this - not ideal but not a deal breaker.

2) The staff here are not particularly helpful, this is not a concierge service. Asking basic questions was met with many a blank face. What annoyed me the most was we were told we may may have to pay corkage on our own bottle of wine we wanted to drink in the room when we asked for a bottle opener.

3) Our room had ants, lots of them. I assume we just got unlucky.

I'm summary, if you're an athlete, or want to drink loudly with a semblance of a view, great. If you want a relaxing weekend with good service, perhaps try elsewhere. This hotel has no blaring problems but too many little disappointments built up into a sub par experience.
