Have been wanting to try this place for years and booked for my hubby and I for our anniversary. Traveling from Durban we booked accommodation and hired a baby sitter for our fun experience. we were looking forward to it, only to get a message 2 hours before we are meant to leave to say they are cancelling and not opening for the day due to a function? So angry way to ruin our anniversary plans. So dhocjed! Would really NOT recommend this place as they are obviously highly unreliable and don't really care if you have spent money making plans

I love this place. It's open only on a Saturday and Sunday and booking is recommended. It really is a full-day experience as you get 7 courses of food spread over 5 hours 12pm-5pm) with the option to do a beach walk half way through courses. It's a really laid back place with swings at the bars and a lovely setting. Also met the owner who has some interesting tales to tell.

A novel idea but service is way nelow standard. The lazy lunch is overprized and actually a rip off. It you want people to sit around for four hours you need to provide comfortable seating and do more than only try to sell booze. The venue is run down and no maintanace are done. Will not go there again.

Unfortunately the place has gone down terribly. Cleanliness had vanished.Stocks are depleted. Smoking allowed everywhere. Toilets are completely unacceptable. Food is still good but unfortunately all negatives will definitely keep us from returning

It is a nice place, but they should tell you before hand that it takes 5-6 hours to get through 7 courses. We were passing by on our way home. The buffet only starts at 12pm!! We just left now without finishing. My friend is 8 months pregnant and was starting to hurt. We were still told to pay FULL PRICE R210 per person even though we didn't finish last 3 courses (the food was not prepared when we left, so no loss for the shack). Absolutely shocking considering you want people coming back. Ladies toilet was horrible - did not flush.

It was the most unique restaurant I have visited. The ambiance is rough and rugged and its perfect for the travelling crowd. But once you have stopped there you will never forget it. And you woukd not want to leave. The beach is very close. And the arrangement of the menu is really spectacular for those who dont have a big appetite. If you go there be prepared. For nothing but a symphony of tastes.
