Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast has a variety and the restuarant has a few options as well. Only problems I have is that the lift makes a lot of noise, especially at night and there was no fridge in our room.

Location is very central and good value for money. The rooms has everything that one requires for a stay-over in Cape Town. You will however have to sort out parking for your car. (Best to Uber) They make you pay R70 for the day when you arrive. But when you leave and return later that night there is no parking available and no one to help.

The New Tulbagh Hotel is like always a great overnight facility with that extra comfort of being home away from home. I really enjoy the hospitality and nice variety of food to choose from. Luxury apartments and good client service management.

The location of the hotel are good. It are abit out dated but still value for money. The breakfast are good. The staff are friendly. Parking can be a problem.

Will not recommend this hotel at all. Unsafe, unfriendly staff and torn bedsheets. The lift is extremely noisy.

This is a very dated hotel, with rotting cupboards, leaking shower, broken coffee maker The kitchen had no cups, nothing but a broken coffee maker and a slanted fridge due to rotting cupboard. This was shocking considering South Africa is experiencing droughts. TV wasn't working either.

Slept on a skew bed,back is still killing me,pillows not comfortable, ended up sleeping on the scatter cushion, linen not 100% clean.Cleaning staff cleaned room half only made up beds,no vacuuming ,no cleaning out of bins or proper cleaning of toilets . Lifts waked us up early morning which was very annoying, staff promised to put it off but did not. Showered in cold water.The only thing that was nice was there buffet breakfast.cold showers,really not worth it for the price

This is supposedly a hotel for business travelers, so you'd think it would have the basics. My first morning there was ALMOST no hot water for the shower. Management told me they would look into it. They must have, because the next day there was NO hot water.
The elevators do not meet US code. The sign says they can hold 5 people, when they can barely fit in 3. They're the old-fashioned kind where you have to pull open an exterior door to get in. Once you're inside, the interior wooden doors don't close fully and the elevator doesn't always arrive plumb with the floor.
Our last night there was a blackout, so we had to climb the stairs. Since the hotel supplied no flashlights, it's lucky there's an atrium so we had some outside light.
The so-called satellite TV offered fewer channels than the airbnb we were in before, and the hotel is in a charmless, dead part of the city at night.
On the plus side, the bathroom was huge, the staff was friendly (especially Primrose at the breakfast buffet), the breakfasts were good, and aside from the cold showers, the room was comfortable.

The Personnel are friendly. The Hotel is not in a great spot. The hotel advertise free wifi but it is useless. You can connect, but not surf the Internet or download emails. It is not working properly.

Quiet place, breakfast included, they also helped us organising a surprise birthday party to one of my friends. It is near other restaurants, coffee, shopping and it's near to waterfront.

The decor of the hotel is very beautiful. Each floor has a beautiful sitting area and it's very comfortable however the staff are not that friendly and do not create a comfortable feeling. It would be a much better hotel if they have more security on windows on the 1st floor and if staff make you feel more like a guest.

Hard to find and you have to pay for parking..but once there, it's a great Base to work from.
For assistance and advice on where to go..dpeak to Emily one of the managers..and for the best cook. Speak with Andreashe is fantastic.rooms clean, airy, cleaned daily, although the shower and sink drains take some time to emptyand great place to stay.
