May be more of a status thing to eat here. The food was fairly good but the pricing was a bit high. The night time view was quite spectacular from the deck so they do gain point for location.

The new location has absolutely spectacular views. Be sure to book and ask for a table looking over the city - the place was packed on a rainy weekday! Further in I found the lighting to be a bit dark. Food is fantastic with great steaks and South African grills. Expect to pay between R200 and R300 per person excluding wine.

5 Star Service. 10 Star Quality.

Perfect Meat, and ambience.

Get the Ribeye and appreciate how fantastic a deal it is.

I'd give it a solid 3 stars at best. Being from Texas, I know a thing or two about steaks. It was a good cut (a bit lean for my liking). But overly seasoned with pepper where the steak flavor felt a bit undermined.
For a top notch restaurant, I was surprised with lack of presentation of the food (that onion looked sad) and no complementary bread..?

Either way, the view is beautiful. Definitely a great hang out place!

Very mediocre food for high prices, unapologetic management with a chip on their shoulder. Nice venue and interior design. Not nice enough to ever go back though.

Set in the heart of Sandton, The Grillhouse is a beautiful restaurant! The pork ribs are excellent and the livers are delicious too. However, the fillet wasn't to standard and not as good as their Rosebank branch. But I'd definitely go back soon.

I had a steak medium rare which was cooked perfectly, service was friendly and attentive. I feel for the calibre of restaurant, the sides were average, our table had a variety of which I think could have more effort put in to create a much better overall meal.

Steak seasoning was delicious! Menu and variety did not disappoint. Husband's medium rare steak was medium well, but they quickly corrected. My rare steak was medium rare, and luke warm, but spicy rub was delicious and more than compensated for slightly off temperature.

Service was good and overall pleasant and pleasing experience. Would recommend to others and would go again. Only suggestion would be to up the Quality Control in the kitchen a little.

What a lovely evening at the Grillhouse. I had haloumi for starters with a sweet jelly! Amazing, followed by a 300gm Fillet Steak cooked to perfection! The waiter was very Professional. We also didnt wait very long for our food. Well done Grillhouse, I will be back.

I really enjoyed my meal, the New York Sirloin was well flavoured and tender, and went really well my Roquefort salad and Irish red ale.
The service was excellent and just the right side of attentive, without being intrusive.
Thanks for a nice dinner experience.
