I was very surprised to discover that they don't offer pork products at this particular Spur. Possibly, it's because majority of the Spurs I have visited have never disappointed me with their rack of pork ribs. So please be aware that this is a halaal Spur.

I therefore tried out their t-bone steak accompained with chips which turned out pretty good. My friend's chicken was also quite delicious.

Overall, service was quick and friendly. However, they should seriously improve on the frequency of cleaning up the tables, floors and washrooms as it was very untidy.

The food is good and the staff are ever helpful.

On my top ten list for joburg HALAAL spots

The kiddies play area is always fun and always clean.

Try out the mash pumpkin with baked potato instead of just chips for a much more savoury experience.

Must recommend the desserts if you have space after 😀

This is the first time ever that we had such bad service from Spur. The lady who served us was in a hurry to do everything. It's like she just wanted to get it over and done with. 1st it started with a dirty glass. It took her 10min after leaving the glass on our table to check up on us. I was looking for her till I had to ask someone else to bring me a clean glass. We had a starter, she then brought the main meal without taking the starters plates away (Our table was full of plates) again she was nowhere to be seen, I then called another colleague of hers to clean our table. So I'm thinking maybe she went fetching our mushroom sauce and the sour cream sauce for the baked patato and butter because she just left the food on the table and was gone. 15min has passed i stood up and called her colleague what's happening why the incomplete meals, apparently they still warming it. By the time we got the rest of the order the patato was cold and baked dry. The food was not what we anticipated.This has been the worse I couldn't wait to leave but my wife convinced me to stay.

Nothing wrong with the restaurant in terms of the food or facilities for children but the the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. Water all over the floor and filthy. The men's bathroom in particular (I can't speak for the female bathroom). I tried to go there with my child and instead went to the mall bathroom as he was barefoot from playing in the kids areadisappointing.

Have dined here on many occasions for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service is usually good and so is the food.
The medium fillet steak is the one to go for with crumbed mushrooms as starters.
I once had a bad experience where the quality of the brownies deteriorated because they apparently started making it at the store instead of the usual supplier, but they were happy with the feedback and refunded my money.

this franchisee serves halal meat, thus there alcohol is not served. If you want to have wine with your stake, it is not your place.
All other standard features for Spur is built here, including small playground for kids under 11. For Muslims it has a prayer room.

Im very late in rating and updating my review i was there last November. After having a bad experience prior to this visit, I was contacted by the owner after reviewing my complaints. I must say he is an excellent businessman. He called my family n i back to his restuarant to change the perception i left with before the staff were excellent. They were so accommodating and the service was impeccable. The food was delicious and served perfect to our requests and was not a long wait. I must say i will defnitely be frequenting again as they have made up for all the disappointmentswent beyond our expectations. Thanks again to the wonderful owner and staff for the excellent time we had that evening.
