  Stopped for lunch after driving through the Swartberg Pass. Loved the authenticness of the hotel but disappointed in the coffee shop. Cappuchino too strong and the ciabatta sandwich to expensive and not very tasty. Didn't like it at all.

  Enjoyable place to stay to either visit the "Old World" town of Prince Albert or explore the famous "Swartberg Pass" or the full day 4x4 trip to "The Hell". Reasonably priced, great service and the evening dinners are something special.

  We went for dinner. What a lovely experience. Not cheap, but a meal to satisfy any palate. Well presented. Ample portion. Excellent service. Highly recommend a visit to this historical gem.

  This is a must stop if you are in the vicinity. Situated at the foot of the swartberg pass in Prince Albert it is the perfect stop for something to eat, or to sleep over.

  I have stayed at this beautiful hotel many times in my life, and this year all expectations were exceeded. Great team, great management, and superb location. Karoo lamb for dinner a must have.

  Did not stay at hotel, but it looks wonderfully Victorian historic with all the modern comforts. Enjoyed a bite to eat at their restaurant and it was divine. Good prices and very friendly service.

  We stopped for tea and scones. After we ordered we were informed that we can not have tea due to no electricity. (Really, no backup plan in this day and age.) the scones was old and smelly. The flies were like a pandemic here.

  Love this little hotel. We had an awesome stay and the food was fantastic. Relaxing at the pool from the summer heat makes this place feel like an oasis. Definitely one of my favorite places

  Hotel has rooms and cottages if you are traveling with pets. Hotel also has a small curio shop, Ladies Bar, a reading room, lounge, swimming pool with deck chairs and covered seating area, well maintained gardens. There is also a coffee shop, with quick and friendly service and good breakfast. Definitely worth a stop if in Prince Albert.

  A great place for a traveller to stop and relax. Good country cooking and great, friendly service. The Deli bread is fantastic.
