I always enjoy visiting Steam Punk. The great coffee and an eclectic feel are well worth the drive. Great service - I felt like the staff were engaged and keen to do their best to give me a memorable experience. An old world charm. It is also worth a natter with Michael who was gracious enough to show me around his roasting shed. He is very knowledgeable and has a real passion for coffee. This is more than just a shop, it's an experience.

I loved this little spot. A small black building with white gears and machinery painted on it. Immediately stands out against the green landscape behind. The aroma of the coffee while you walk into the shop is just pure delight and the best "welcome in" ever! The shop sells some small finger foods. The coffee it out of this world! Small outside seating g area to enjoy the views while you indulge in the coffee.. Heaven! A truly worth it experience overall, and some of the best quality coffee this side of South Africa. Would highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed.

Definitely worth a stop. The coffee amazing, the decor is whimsical, the various snack and drink options are all excellent. It doesn't look like much from the road but it is well worth the stop.

Delicious coffee and funky setting in the Midlands. They don't do food as such but it is worth the stop along the meander if you are a coffee lover and in need of a boost!

A definite must see when you're in the midlands. Friendliest people and possibly the best coffee I've ever tasted!
There's also a great poetry night every first Wednesday of the month.

This tiny little shop along the side of the road produces some of the most unique and incredible coffee South Africa has to offer. Started by a gentleman who wanted a break from the bustle and has since moved into the Midlands area to run this shop, Steampunk Cafe has people driving out from Durban for the day purely to try the legendary coffee. If you are in the area, you should definitely check it out.
