It's a backpackers situated here in St Lucia,and it's a nice place to visit with everything you need, nice view, nice stay,you go to safari's to see the animals, you sometimes bump into a hippo in the gate

worst place I have ever been to, rats in the kitchen, monkeys running around at night eating anything. I do NOT recomend this place for anyone, mainly because the water is dirty and even if you boil the water it still has the brown tinge.

unfortunately these guys are a little anti LOCAL and do not cater for us as South Africans, making us as South African folks feel not so welcome. Since the #4x4BAN or the closure of of beaches to motor vehicle access, the village of St. Lucia has gone backwards, and the management of this once great establishment now look on local residents, and domestic tourists with bad eyes.

this is a general problem in the Elephant Coast where the tourism flow patterns have changed dramatically since 2002, with South African or DOMESTIC tourists no longer coming to the area in great numbers, due to the attitude of the #IWPA or iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority and the tourism businesses which focus on the international tourism market. folks in St. Lucia do not want to talk about this, but it does need to be addressed. this is having a big impact on the tourism industry of the Elephant Coast and the St. Lucia region.

You pay for what you get, and this place is cheap.
Have low expectations and you won't be disappointed!

Rooms have always been fine with clean bedding. Communal ablutions not so great. Communal fridge not so cold.

After a long drive there was a empty, dirty swimming pool. We ask for the beach shuttle they promised on there website, the lady never heard of that. We called another hostel but unfortunately everything was fully booked. They also raised there price. We were disappointed and ask for discount /the price they said before, after a call that was oke "if we stopped complaining.." this way to treat your gasts us quit unusual for me. Beds were oke, badroom didn't flush, smells bad and occurred yellow water from a bare hole. St lucia is a lovely place, but please try another accommodation.

Nice tranquil spot although a bit run down and dirty. It seems bibs has had its day and the don't care that much about it any more. Loads of thorns at the Camp-site so wear shoes
