A lovely place to stay fairly central. St Lucia is well worth a visit, do a boat ride to see the hippos it's worth doing. At night the hippos wander around town.

We had 2 nights stay here. The lodge is really big, clean and well equipped for home cooking. The garden area has a nice setup around a braai area. Helpful and informative host, very approachable even online. We did nice morning walking tour from the wooden deck to the estuary and then back up beach road. We would definitely recommend to stay here when you want to relax and stay more than one night in St Lucia.

Arrived after dark in St. Lucia and encountered a huge hippo grazing at the stop street corner near to Lai la log cabins. The children were delighted!
This morning the temperature is mild and the dew is lying everywhere making everything damp and the air is heavy with the salty smell of the sea. It is great to be here after a long journey through winter landscapes, we even saw the Mondi firefighters dropping water from airplanes onto forest fires near pongola.

Unerträglich für den Preis. Die Bettlaken haben Löcher, keine Glühbirne in den Lampen, die Schränke sind nicht zu gebrauchen, weil es fürchterlich herausstinkt. Nicht empfehlenswert.

After paying deposit and having confirmation that everything was in order, the owner refused to honour the contract unless we paid an extra 40%. Dodgy business practices in at Lai La cabins!
