  I have been a part of this church for over 3 years and it has been so awesome. Here I found a family of believers who are extremely passionate about God's Truth and His people. I found a family of people who invest in your life and make sure you never isolate yourself or are in need. I am so grateful to have stumbled inside and I really suggest that you do the same. There's a mini-church service on Tuesdays at lunch time (13:00-14:00) as well as a prayer hour every Wednesday mornings at 6am.

  This church has been a platform where I have found family, growth, love and where I am continuously challenged to not become complacent about the things that are truly precious in life. I have been part of Shofar for 8 years and it has been a privilege for me.
  
  There is no perfect church, as they all have people in, but the church seeks to work together with grace and love to cover imperfections.

  Being apart of Shofar has been amazing. I remember attending a service for the first time and the convicting truth of God's Word was just so evident and apologetically declared. More than than that, the authentic community of the believers who are really like my brothers and sisters has been my God-given pillar during my time in Stellies. The humility and 'humanness' of the leaders completely broke my mind in first year and what I long believed it meant to be a pastor and leader in the church. What a blessing to be part of such a church!

  What an amazing church.. have been there for almost 7 years and im still learning an growing daily with such an amazing community and leaders and growth opportunities. Shofar played such a big role in who i am today and shaping my caracter, not because of the people or the nice things happening there, but because of the presence of God that is welcomed in our church and the way that we are lead by His Holy spirit and the true word of God. From the first day I felt so welcome by the community and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and that helped me to walk away from the fleshly desires of drinking and partying which is so empty and finding my true identity in Christ.

  Joined the church in 1st year. Encountered the living God and joined an awesome family. Still in the church and I am currently 3rd year. My life has totally turned around(for the better).

  NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL!! We had recently moved to Stellenbosch and were looking for a new church. When we went, no-one even bothered to greet us. Felt so out of place. The sermon also had some very weird doctrines in it that made me incredible uncomfortable! Dodgy...
