I visited this camp since 1976 and it was always a camp with a beautiful and peaceful restaurant. The food was always excellent. The last few years this camp with the restaurant and the shop with the unfriendly staff - not for me anymore!! Some of the staff in the restsurant and take aways do need training seriously. The camp and the gardens do need attention.
Good facilities and camp sites. More regular cleaning of ablutions could help to improve the experience
We love this camp and find the staff helpful and friendly. Camp site is our favourite a with huge fence area to camp along so you very close to nature. Ablutions and cooking areas well kept and hot water on tap 24/7.
What an awesome place. Accommodation great and we could hear lions in the night. Fabulous sighting out on evening and early morning drive. A brilliant opportunity and highly recommended place to visit.
Great camp in the Kruger. Excellent for overnight stays as well as day visitors. Has an excellent shop and good restaurant. An old camp, but also close to several active waterholes.
Lodging and camping, central, easily accessible, with loads of game-viewing routes and waterholes nearby. Secure and well maintained, comfortable accommodation and helpful staff.
Of course you can have all the organised game-drives or walks. Or you can go chill in the swimming pool.
Lots of Wildlife in the vicinity great to stay in chalets or in campsite. Shop very good
I was somewhat surprised at the plainness of the camp site. I paid for a premium spot thinking that maybe I would get a better view or some similar bump in quality. But all it means is that you're entitled to the 3-prong outlet which as a self-driver with a tent I didn't need; my devices charged while driving.
Also I found it frustrating that I was not assigned a campsite - you just have to drive around until you figure out where you can fit in. There is no clear delineation of campsites, which means no privacy. Each site has a braai and nothing else, no log to sit on, no picnic table. Though it was pointed out to me that if you drive all day, you don't necessarily need to sit to eat. These notes relate to sleeping in a tent - the South Africans have all the gear with their camping setups.
The ablutions were excellent. There was also a dishwashing-cooking area which had boiling hot water even first thing in the morning.
But I wouldn't camp there again.
By far my personal favorite campsite at Kruger. Excellent game viewing all around and since it's further up north there's less tourists and it's a much more peaceful experience than somewhere like Skukuza.
Professional staff, ample camping sites although most do not have shade. Clean Park. The bathrooms are neat and clean, they can expand this facility. Shop, restaurants and Laundry available. Most animals found in the area. Kamp of the year 2015 and 2016.
Centrally located in the Park. The camp is well kept and maintained with good service. It is here in the grass lands in this area, that you will see cheetahs and where the vultures congregate in their hundreds.
Awesome game viewing in the area but campsites are very close together with very little shade. Decent pool, shop and restaurants.
Great place to go if you are in the park for a quick tea or lunch stop. There are some great shops and a mug&bean
Great location for game viewing. Well kept camp. Great having a store available.
Bungalows clean, neat and tidy. Staff very helpful and friendly. Gardens need attention.
