So, we went to Spur Saratoga in Parow. greeted by the manager and got seated immediately. The waitress and manager I can’t fault at all as they were warm, welcoming and friendly.
The food also came quickly as we only had about 40 minutes as our son was in the operating rooms as the Day hospital.
My concern though is the smell of the establishment I cannot recall when last I walked into a restaurant that smelled of cigarette / second hand smoke. It’s like the whole restaurant is a smoking restaurant.
Then I had to leave in a rush as the hospital called and said my son is out of the operating room. My wife waited to pay and as she was sitting waiting, a cockroach walked over the table.
Needless to say, I cannot finish my food that was packed in a takeaway bucket and I am pretty sure that I will not be heading back there soon.response / report this review -

Best Spur by far! I pass many Spurs closer to my house to eat at Saratoga Spur because of the excellent food & amazing service. The management at this particular Spur is the best I've ever experienced. I was very HAPPY to be there 😉

Good Day,
On Saturday 26 August 2017, I entered Spur Saratoga to have a coffee and breakfast while I waited for someone. I arrived just before 11, I entered the restaurant and was greeted with no one. I saw waiters hanging around and walking by, yet nobody came to assist me. The gentleman at the till point, was busy assisting a customer with payment, with another customer behind that one. As customer number 2's turn came up, I heard her telling this gentleman that she has been waiting to be seated for almost 30min. I was a bit appalled by this, but continued to wait to be seated, as I just wanted a simple coffee and breakfast while I waited for someone. Eventually after customer 2 left, I waited another 5 minutes before the gentleman even asked me if I have been helped. He then asked me to have a seat while i waited for the table I wanted in the smoking area to be cleared. Another long wait, I eventually got seated at 11:20.
The waitress seated me at a still not 100% clean table with no menu, then she ran off. She came back at 11:30, and asked for an order. I asked for a latte and a menu, (as it wasresponse / report this review -

The cuttlery could have been cleaner, but as Spurs go not a bad one. Friendly and helpful staff with good coffee.
