Great one night tour from Durban. Lesotho is an amazing country, the landscape is absolutely wonderful! The view from Sani Mountain Lodge is incredible. I´m pretty happy that I choose Roof of Africa Tours, they were so professional since the begining. I totally recommend this tour and this travel agency!

The trip was great. Sadly the road was washed out about 2 miles from sank top so we had to walk. It was very steeply uphill.
Once we had our lunch the road was fixed and the trip carried on normally.

Wow! What a great experience! Once you hit the dirt road you see why a good 4x4 and experienced driver are a must for the ascent up Sani Pass. Once you get to the top there are breathtaking views of the Drakensberg area on the one side and a whole new and exciting African country to experience on the other. Lunch at the Highest Pub in Africa is a real treat with excellent food accompanied by views down the pass into South Africa.

The guys at Roof of Africa Tours did a great job with passport control, taking less than 5 minutes and some superb driving skills kept us feeling safe and secure. Their Landcruiser vehicle was comfortable even over all the bumps and gobbled up the steep turns. Sandile the local guide was full of interesting details and explained the history of the pass and even showed us the remains of the old mule track that was used to trade before the road was built.

I'd highly recommend taking a day to head up the pass, enjoy a delicious lunch at the highest pub in Africa and experience the Sotho culture.
