Oh wow! What a place! You can get lost in there and time stand still. Yesteryear at Romantique is amazing. So much to see and experience. Things not seen for many years was awesome. Thank you for the memories!

This is the place to see in Hermanus. It’s a shop, where you can find literally EVERYTHING which is collectible (CokaCola-Stuff, matchboxes, model-cars, Uniform-things, and much more). There is a little cinema inside, where old films can be seen once a week.

This must be one of my favourite places in Hermanus and it appeals to my 9-yr-old daughter as well as my 75-yr-old mum! There are always new things that appeal - I have found an exquisite tea pot, a beautiful handmade crochet tablecloth, my backgammon set (felt board and all!), miniatures for my daughter's printer's tray, old money for my son any number of cool stuff! Not to mention dressing up in Luftwaffe or French Foreign Legion clothes!
The owners are super friendly and remember you, and the movie theatre! What a treasure! It costs only R10 to book your spot - and they give you your money back! I always leave it as a donation towards the movies. They make a special effort to put the kids' favourite Three Stooges on when we are there.
They take cash only, and are open until 3pm on a Saturday only, no Sundays, so make a point of getting there early in your weekend and browse to your heart's delight!
