The Venue is very beautiful, tranquil and well looked after. Wonderful bird life and the cottages are also comfortable. The dogs were absolutely awesome and made the place feel like home. The only negative aspect is that the gas oven in our kitchen is old and in poor condition. The gas supply to the oven does not turn off when the flame goes out and gas builds up inside. My husband burnt his hand very badly when the gas that had leaked into the oven exploded. The oven needs to be replaced as it is extremely dangerous. The pipes from the gas cylinder to the stove also need to be checked as the cylinder stands
on top of the pipes which could rupture them. It is a pity that something like that should spoil one's stay. This should be rectified before there is a really serious accident.

Incidentally, my husband still has scars due to the gas oven exploding. This is extremely dangerous and will cause an even more serious accident in the future. To top it all, the owners of Riverstill were very nonchalant and didn't seem to care less that this accident had occurred. Not even a "sorry this happened", just "Oh will tell Jacques" as though it happens all the time!

Jacques is Mine Host Extraordinaire and has turned Riverstill on the banks of the Groot Marico river into a warm and welcoming place. Whether you want to swim or canoe on the river or hike or sit by the fire (in winter) and think, Riverstill offers you much in the way of beauty and activities while remaining a peaceful place full of strangers turned friends. Their high repeat business speaks for itself.

Riverstill Guestfarm is a beautifully serene and quiet place if you want to leave the city. It's a magiacal place and it feels like your in another world. The river is a great place to cool off and the owners are welcoming. Anyone is welcome to sit and chat. Due to the fact that I have been going there for years, I have made many friends with guests who always come back. No matter how many times I go there it is my number 1 holiday destination

Riverstill is situated in the most beautiful valley through which the Groot Marico River runs. It is a place of rest and peace, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life and technology. Here you can find yourself in nature in the most beautiful surroundings. The farm is protected by a beautiful pack of dogs which makes having locks unnecessary.
