Fantastic hotel. Great location, shuttle is prompt, but most importantly the staff are genuinely friendly, helpful and efficient.
Our room was clean and well laid out, great bed too. The restaurant meals were really good value and tasty.

I’d thoroughly recommend and look forward to our stay later in April.

Perfectly adequate overnight accommodations. Rooms aren't large by American standards but it doesn't feel too small. Nice glass shower and separate tub. Aviation theme is aggressive but nice. Restaurant is good. Easy shuttle from the airport (every half hour) but location is a little isolated. Stayed there twice this far.

Good hotel near the airport. Offers a free shuttle to the airport and rooms are modern. Staff are lovely and professional. Only downside is the relative noise from the outside.

Rooms very comfortable. Staff very efficient. Handles groups very well. Nice to see an old hotel nicely updated. The restaurant could accommodate many people all at the same time for breakfast.

Rooms are nice and spacious. It is right across from the V&A Waterfront. We stayed there for 8 days and the service was amazing. We liked the convenience of location as we were in the midst of all the happening places. We could walk back to our hotel late in the night from nearby places without any concern

Cozy hotel in a quiet neighborhood, close to the airport. Staff are friendly, professional and helpful. I like the room layout. The room was clean with clean bedding and a comfortable bed. I had a peaceful and surprisingly quiet night, given that it is close to the airport. Great place for a short stay!

Poor quality for a Marriott - I've been to them across 3 continents, definitely sub-standard. Staff poorly trained, can't take requests accurately, room hot water doesn't work properly, etc.

The protea hospitality, with all that you can expect. The setting is unexpectedly superior! Great for conferences, big or small. Conveniently close to the airport

A nice hotel situated a short drive from the airport. Rooms are beautiful with a really cool shower inside. It's a shame the pool was dirty when we came in however the temperature had dropped so no swimming for me. Staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good. Making own wafels and pancakes is great.

Fun decor. Comfortable clean rooms with white linen and fluffy towels. Conference facilities are good. WiFi worked well.

The hotel is very nice ; however, our air conditioner was not working and the room was very hot ; although we have a person who came to try to fix the problem, he was not able to do it ; therefore I requested to have another room, but they said they were booked; I requested a fan, and they indicated that it was late end the maintenance office was closed, therefore they recommended me to open the window. Our room was located in front of the airport and highway, it was very noised and loud, I was really disappointed with the situation as they did not make any efforts to resolve the situation. Just an apology and to open the window.

The Hotel is quite funky and the staff very helpful. Room was clean and tidy and I could choose a smoking room! Had an international plug- which was very useful as i only had my UK cell phone charger. Shower was great- huge shower head that worked well. Food was a bit overpriced although having said that- the burger was very good! Location is great and there's a free airport shuttle.

Nice hotel, pretty close to the airport but you need to cross the massive road so can only get there by cab etc. I like the sound of the planes so didn't worry me but they can annoy some people so worth a mention. Breakfast if you dont pay for it with the booking was R195 which is a bit harsh I thought for a buffet of the usual hotel stuff. Hotel seemed nice and safe and there was security etc . I would happily recommend

.As a Over Nighter this served to be a perfect place, close to the Airport as we had to board our early morning flight the next day! Beautiful clean place but a bit noisii as it is located opposite the airport on the other side of the Free Way which is always busy until late! They provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport and you will be able to take a free shuttle to Emperors Palace where you are able to get a cheaper quick meal and also have a bit of fun will you're at it, this was very chic as the meals at the hotel was very expensive! A very pleasant and nice experience as the have a beautiful Terrace Pool!..

Perfect transit hotel experience. The Protea isn't as close to the airport as it looks and the shuttle goes from the bus station but is still fairly convenient. The hotel itself is really cool and a vision in industrial chic. Perfect as an overnight transit location.

Good value or the money and location. Room not impeccably clean. Hair in sink and tub is dirty. The buffet, meh. Room design is nice as well as pool area. I would give it a 3.5

Came here for dinner when staying at a nearby hostel. Ordered a prawn and chicken curry. Took over an hour to arrive. Was over cooked, dry, and lacking flavour. Staff were very inattentive. Asked to order something else and they looked like they didn't know what to do. Brought me spaghetti and meatballs which was nothing special but pleasant enough. Took so long to bring me my change I collected it from them when I left instead of waiting at my table. Such a shame as I have heard such good things, especially about the buffet. Nice enough restaurant, modern and clean, nice outside too.
