Good hours for the area and beats other "low cost" supermarket prices for certain products. Not the safest area but recommend it at busy times.

I don't stay in Primrose but in Boksburg but travel to Primrose Pick & Pay because off cleanliness & efficient service. The butchery is first class and fruit & veggies always fresh. Worth the trip.

The service by the staff behind the food counter was shocking, they do not seem to understand English, long faces, not friendly at all. One extremely rude lady was serving, one was mobbing the floor, the other was at the back cutting up some meat. Eventually there are like four customers waiting and only then, big efforts to come assist. So sad because the food is good.
Wanted to see the mushrooms, but they busy unpacking, so you wait and wait, no attempt by the Packer to just move the trolley and allow me to help myself. Suggest packing gets done perhaps in the morning not at peak time in the afternoon.
Left the mushrooms behind and made my way to the cashier. OMG :-( kid you not the cashier Willy Nakeng, was awful, not one greeting, not one smile, not one thank you, does not even sit properly but sits backwards half falling off the chair. As the previous review said, he is making us a favour. The packer was just as unfriendly. A simple smile and greeting goes a long way.
Well, Pick n Pay staff at Primrose without us your customers you will not have a job, so please make an effort to be thankful for having one.
After chatting to few friends of mine, they have all stopped going there for the same reason, SHOCKING SERVICE.
