It's really close to the Addo Elephant Park, so if you want to visit the park, it's a good spot. The rooms weren't the most beautiful and the stuff was not really friendly though

A place that is NOT worth staying!
Although there seems to be a daily cleaning the kitchen is absolutely dirty with sticky and greasy surfaces and corners - not because of guests as there were only a few. Everything is broken (not the charming shabby chic) and unlovingly maintained. Actually it could be a really nice place.
The night was really awful due to missing mosquito nets at the windows.
The worst thing was to wake up noticing there is a dead frog (!!!) under my cover sheet. It looked like it had been there for more than one day/night. How is that possible?!
When we told the staff during check out they weren‘t even interested and just accepted the fact.
According to the latest Coast-to-coast Guide there is WiFi and breakfast included. This is not true and here the staff also didn‘t even try to explain or apologize (WiFi is provided only in the pub area).
All this would have been half as bad when the staff had at least tried to be interested in anything.

Only positive aspect is the pub with its staff, those guys were really friedly.

    Good situation near Addo Park.
Our room had no door to the bathroom and toilet. At least a curtain could have been hung to ensure some privacy.
No internet at the backpackers, you had to go to the pub 100m away

It felt a bit old and very rustic for me at the time, but personally I found that quite atmospheric although people might differ

Thanks for your excellent service late at night. You helped when I had clients in need, a broken car and 3 girls in panic. Followed up with me the next morning. I will highly recommend you guys. Friendly and willing to help.
    Thanks
