Kabuku River safaris looks excellent from the river I was on Jambo River safari going past
Great place to go especially on Wednesday when they have the boat trip and Tbone special. If you're lucky you can spot some wildlife from the boat.
My ultimate spot in Phalaborwa at the moment. Go every Wednesday evening for their boat cruise and T-Bone special. 120 bucks for both. T-Bone on the braai with salads etc. Their garlic potatoes are my weakness.
The place itself is great. Friendly service, nice food and drink. The best part is of course the river safari. All safaries are great, but this is somthing else entirely. Experience the life in the river up close (hippos, crocodiles ect) but also the life on the river banks where you'll see elephants and more come to drink. Everything expericed while the sun sets over the river. The best tour I took in South Africa.
This place is very very beautiful, I recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from the busy city and wants to be one with nature. The place is situated on the banks of the Olifant River, it is quiet and peaceful. It doesn't accommodate ten thousands of people thus preserving the silence and drawing the animals nearer. There are three different boats of different sizes , the biggest boat is R360 for a 3 hour ride on the river. This allows you to be close to the animals and also gives you a glimpse of the water board.
Nice place next to river to have lunch
Lovely view. Nature all around. Also a boat you can go on
Great service , delicious food. Room decor is stylish and room service is amazing. Welcoming people that always reaches out to you. Great place and amazing view !!! LOOVVEEE it here
This was a great experience, I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this for people or all ages.
Simply amazing. The best possible get away.
Extremely beautiful and friendly helpfull people. Leon and his team will make you feel right at home. Take a boat cruise on the river and enjoy a sundowner in the bushveld.
Very lovely views on the boat safari and accomodating dinner.
I try and do an Olifants river safari every time I visit South Africa, a few hours sailing along at a leisurely pace along the Olifants is a wonderful experience, the double deck craft glides quietly through the water and there is ample room for many passengers. We have seen many species of animals over the years along the edge of the and in the Olifants river including Elephant, hippo, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, impala, Kudu, Bushbuck, water monitors, rock monitors, Dassies, crocodiles and numerous species of birds. The river safaris normally take place early morning or late afternoon and if you are in Phalaborwa they are not to be missed. Leon and Brenda and their wonderful staff will take good care of you even if you are not staying at their wondeful riverside lodge. Well recommended!
