I have yet to walk out of New World with anything less than a smile on my face! Friendly helpful staff and a good variety of products at great prices. Definitely worth a visit.

I won't shop here again. Bad attitude. Stay away if you don't want to be treated with disrespect. They have serious issues. Would love to give a zero. 1 star is too much.

I've been to New World three times to date and I am still waiting for a single person to help me. In fact they start disappearing as you walk towards them - it's a thing to behold. The microphone that I eventually purchased was opened already and sealed with cello tape and the manual missing which I pointed out to the sales lady. She called a few guys over the intercom that never pitched (I heard a person tell her they are not in store right now) and then eventually after a few attempts they brought me a sealed box. Marked up R40-R50 up from the initial one. When I queried the price the sales lady told me if I want the original price I need to take the opened box one. Final note, there is no order to the shop and stuff are seemingly randomly packed out EVERYWHERE. You could get lost in there for a week and still not find what you are looking for - the sealed microphone they eventually got at the camera section. I will never support the shop again as even their "special" price was R150 more than what google results gave me. New World Menlyn is not worth the effort at all

Not happy. My family and I have always used New World for electronics but it feels as though they have gotten too big and forgot all about the good customer service. I sent in my media box because it started having problems and is still in warranty. They said 3-4weeks. At 7weeks I called to find out.only to hear they haven't followed up with supplier and will let me know the same day. At week 8 I had to call again(never contacted me) only to find out that I'm getting a refund which is nice and all but we could have sorted the problem out earlier. And when i addressed the issue the manager didn't really care which will make me advise people to go elsewhere and not New World.

Horribly expensive. Used Samsung inside the store. Took a month to get my phone back for just a new screen. A month!!! Broke all promises about when it would be ready. Was supposed to take less than a week. Took over a week just to get a repair quote. Will never use them again. Do not recommend going there!

Terrible customer support. I handed my phone in for repairs (since it was still under warranty). It took them 3 months to get the phone back to me .
In those three months, they repeatedly promised that the phone would be delivered and then failed to deliver it or communicate why. When calling them to make inquiries, the right manager wasn't there half the time so they were apparently unable to help. The only thing that seemed to work was repeated threats of legal action.
The phone has been returned, but without the sim card tray, so it is useless unless I buy a new tray from them.

Today I received the worst service ever at this store. We phoned to enquire about an item. We were told that they have stock. After driving 120km to get the item, the person who answered the phone does not exist.
The lady who didn’t assist us, just bluntly said they don’t have stock. We know the other person checked the storeroom, but this lazy sales person lost them a customer forever!

Alot of stuff. Service is not the best. But if you need something applience or electronic related they have it. But don't expect one of the many sales persons to jump at helping you. I had to ask 3 times for service.

Old pharmacy store in mid town gone electronic and retail only. High end electronics. Staff at times busy but well trained always under closeful watch of owner. Keep an eye open for great discounts. If you can't find it, New World will source it.

Always a pleasure visiting New World. You have to payiently wait for staff assistance but they are knowledgeable on their products and always willing to assist. You can also find anything and everything there. Perfect place to buy the hubby a present
