In the middle of nowhere, when peace and quiet is what you are looking for.
Cozy log cabin, self catering with good standard equipment. Very clean, practical and comfortable.
Has a basic supply store with only a 25 minuet drive to the nearest well stocked grocery and essentials supermarket.
Also has some simpler huts and camp sites with many walking trails and natural rock pools to visit.

The park is super. Camping sites good. Ablutions ok. The chalet wasn’t great (number2) except for being a very hot mosquito breeding ground. Newer cabin tings looked nicer.

We went in the middle of the week and it was nice and quiet. We had a great hike. I would love to go back when the rock pools are full.

Absolutely amazing place to spend some time relaxing, far away from the city. Grew up on a farm so the dirt road leading to the gate is very nostalgic yet drivable.

The cost of entry is kind of high at around R115 pp for a day visit, if I recall correctly But once you get inside you get to walk to the ravines and streams and all is forgotten. I loved climbing down to the streams and wading through the water, was such a relief on a hot day. The views are stunning as well.

Would go back again, but this time bring more people to see how beautiful the country can be.

Awesome place! We stayed in a cosy hut, it was perfect if you don't feel like the mission of setting up a tent, simple, comfortable & convenient.
The hikes are great & exploring all the little rock pools is such fun. The swimming pool is super to cool down in the afternoon with a beautiful view. We will definitely be back again!

Tranquil getaway at one of the most beautiful camping spots in South Africa. The camping spots (there are chalets to rent as well) were clean and safe and the bathroom facilities were immaculate with hot water! TIP: If you are sleeping in a tent, leave the food in the car. Baboons and monkeys make sneaky visits to the tents while you hike.

We stayed for 3 days which is a bit too short to experience all of the natural pools. There are lots of different pools, rapids, waterfalls etc. you can hike to. We hiked/swam from pool to pool on day one. Day 2 and 3 we hiked the rapids and the waterfall. TIP: Bring "dry bags" to keep valuables such as cameras, credit cards and keys dry while swimming through the pools. There are plenty of hiking trails, at all levels of difficulty.

Back in camp, take a breather at the pool and bar area, the view of the valley is magnificent.

The park staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and offered great tips on where to go.
