Tons of antique eye candy. Old typewriters etc. Very quaint. Wish they would bring back the shady canopy that distinguished the restaurant from all others and left me with an indelible memory of a great meal.

We did go for a Sunday breakfast. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was well prepared. For a place called Melon Rouge I just would have expected some more options for the breakfast like e.g. Croissants. When we asked if we are allowed taking some pictures they even suggested to try on some of their vintage clothes to take pictures. We will come again.

They were great a few years ago. Now not so much. The service is dismal. The decor is tired. The menu glued into ancient magazines doesn't quite work. The food doesn't even redeem them - a little expensive, and my cottage pie was swimming in oil. Rather give them a skip.

Really loved this unique little restaurant with the antiques. Some lovely vintage clothes and old trinkets worth viewing

Staying in Magaliesburg so decided to pop in. Wandered through the antiques, clothing, art and books. Interesting but did not find anything that appealed to me. Decided to have lunch. Yes it is a small menu but found a vegetarian pie of sweet corn and butternut. Very nice! Enjoyed a couple of hours away from the caravan park.

Great potential but it would have been better if they got our order right. Crazy emu was rather amusing to our 3 year old.

Great for a weekend day out with the family. No haute cuisine but excellent pies, snacks and cake. Antiques, vintage clothing and books as well.
