Ate there tonight (Valentine's day). Horrible experience. Food was really tasteless & overcooked, service was horrendous. Staff were arguing in the bar, & no one actually knew what was going on. I would go into detail, but will write the whole night. We're really disappointed ☹

Amazing hotel! We really had a superb experience. Everything here is of Preston's quality, and they really go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Right from the first moment, when stoped in the parking area, the security guard welcomed us, helped us to reception, and gave us useful info about the area. They specially prepared our room for our anniversary, and made our stay really special. The food and cleanliness are of world class high standards, and the views into the African bush are amazing.
Being situated within the Cradle of Humankind, there are several cultural and historical places to see really close by your accommodation. It's only about an hour from Johannesburg, but it's a world away from the busy city life.response / report this review -

Buffet style restaurant, but more like a carvery. Service was friendly, restaurant was full.
The meat was really good, and there was a decent selection of sides. Desert was good.
Great view from the patio looking onto the Magalies mountains, not many tables outside.response / report this review -

Very nice accommodation with decent views and great atmosphere. The restaurant chef is a gem with fantastic cuisine and the location for local tours is Extremely central

Interesting place to visit, short but nice "boat" ride. Lots of interesting facts around the world and it's origins. Small kids may not like the boat ride of they scare easily

I visited the hotel beginning of February and I must say I had an amazing time. The stuff were so friendly and helpful. I got lost going there but they kept calling hours for hours and making sure I got there safe . When I arrived the restuarant had already closed but they were so kind hearted to get a meal prepared for me for me for free after i cried from hunger . I had only landed in Joburg at noon and I had not eaten anything ( Thank you Selo ) The room were so clean and the view in the morning was to die for . I made friends with most of the stuff and they are forever smiling and willing to help. I really had an amazing time and I would go back anyday. Im upset I cannot remember all the staff names but they made me feel at home . I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel :)

Breath taking views and good food, try the tequila sunrise :). Great service from the staff. Rooms are clean. I will definitely be going back.
