  What a waste! Apart from the fact that there is almost no game the roads are a disaster.

  Amazing scenery, roads manageable in sedan, heavy rains made for some tricky driving. Map & signage or lack thereof makes for quite the adventure. Not much game, definitely not the 'safari' experience compared to Pilansberg. For a nature & picture perfect scenery and being in the open - a must.

  This is a beautiful park with average roads. The single lane tarred drive up to the top of the mountain is not for the nervous, but offers stunning views, and frequent vulture and other raptor sightings. There isn't really a place at the top to get out and take a break.
  
  In the four hour from 7am we managed to see two zebra, several gazelle, a meerkat family, three rhino sitings (one close up) and a brief glimpse of a leopard. It was early December, so very hot with too much vegitation, so not the best time of year to visit.
  
  But well worth the trip.

  Magic.. Must see the top of the mountain, scary drive but well worth it. Just don't be late You get a fine.

  We would definitely come back. But, they need to be more strict with the gate hours rule! We got woken up by new campers setting up their campsite at 21:00. The gate closes at 18:00.

  Bontle tented camp is incredible. Take a warm jacket in winter as the wind rushes down the mountain and can be chilly outside.

  Fantastic game park in the Waterberg. Beautiful landscape. The Tlope tented camp on the dam is the best place to be. The drive up to the Cape vulture area is spectacular. Quite a wide variety of animals to be seen including lions.

  Very dissapointingno game in this park. Visitors are being ripped off to pay day visitor's rates and could just as well spent the money on something else.
  The roads are in a bad state
  What has happened to all the animals which were there 3 years ago?
  We have visited Marakele many times for many years and have never seen an elephant or a lion.
  I will certainly not recommend it to anybodylet alone my friends..

  A very nice and relaxing park to visit. The park is made up of 2 sides. The side with the entrance is for general game veiwing and then there is a second side wich includes the big five. Staff at the gate is very friendly and helpful and the park is beautiful and relaxing!
