Most important thing when we go to buy something is for the check out to be as quick as possible, that is what i always experience at Makro crown mines. Pleasant helpful staff,got almost all i need,huge car park too went home happy

I always have to pack my own groceries at the till point. If I don't things pile up and start falling of the till point. There's never someone to assist the cashier. Are they expected to do this themselves?😣😣😣

Please don’t go there. This place doesn’t even have enough trolley. So you have to tag along with someone who might be leaving except most of the time he’s not done yet. Most of the trolleys don’t even work properly. I also witnessed huge queues inside, even billing is slow. I didn’t buy anything as I didn’t find the whole thing worth it.

I have made a purchase of 2 x Redmi 4a 32gb on the 24/11/2017, the newspaper clearly states Receive R500M Rewards(per cell phone) when you purchase the cellphone on pre paid, it usually takes 24 hours for the rewards to load onto my M rewards app,
I waited the 24 hours and went in to the store (Makro crown mines) on the 25/11/2017, the queries consultant Fezile mentioned that it will now take 48 hours for the M rewards to activate and i should check on the 26/11/2017,
48 hours lapsed and the rewards does not appear ,i returned to the store on the 26/11/2017,
The general manager Nicolas could not assist me and was rather rude,He first mentioned without even checking his promotional leaflets that the deal was for contracts only, i did advise him please refer to your leaflet which clearly states on prepaid, he carried on arguing and mentioned no it was for contract, he mentioned i can stand there all day but he cannot help me and this is a head office query, i did tell him that the service levels and promises made by makro is pathetic and nauseating, all he said was SORRY ABOUT THAT,i also suggested that it is a internal issue/error kindly provide me with a gift card for the value and makro can sort out the rest internally however he was not willing to assist me in regards to that as well i had then left the store very unhappy, angry and disappointed.
The manager Nicolas had called me back and mentioned that my query is legit and i will receive the rewards by the 27/11/2017, he will give me a call at 10am on the 27/11/2017 to confirm that i did receive the same,
27/11/2017 - 10 am has passed by and no call from the general manager, i tried to call in however he is in a meeting, i don't find that professional as he had promised to call me by 10am and he had not. i still don't have my rewards and a unhappy customer.
This is really poor, appalling and disgusting service from Makro and the team !!!!response / report this review -

A lovely place to buy wholesale stuff from refreshment to chairs to household materials. It is quite big and it has a good customer service.

It's so affordable but too much queue to the pay point and too little working till. If you can increase the number of the cashier so that we don't wait too long to pay.

This store gets very busy over weekends but their tills struggle to deal with all the traffic. What is also irritating is that they only have massive trolleys. While it is a bulk purchase store where huge trolleys makes sense, there are also people like me who don't need a massive trolley. The congestion caused by hundreds of huge trolleys ruins the shopping experience. And they need an express till (a few actually). Currently would be allowed to pay at the electronics department if you have 10 items or fewer. But a proper express till would still work better.

Good discounts on bulk products. The place gets over crowded over pay day weekend. There's awesome specials running every weekend, with Instore promotions occurring at the same time. Ample parking space for customers and bulk traders.

I always get the best service here in this store. I love the option of buying online and just go to the store to pick up. Service sometimes is slow at the pick up area but overall I love shopping in this store. It's big enough to have everything I need
