Nice venue, just wish they had more facilities e.g. hikes. I wish they used fresh fish when cooking. Overall not bad.

I attended a birthday function there. Service was good. Food was good. The party venue was a lapa next to an uncovered swimminv pool, which was not ideal for those of us with children. We were also reprimanded for making too much noise , so it may not be ideal for having a party if you have a young and loud crowd.

TERRIBLE VENUE! We booked a table for 4, for Christmas Day lunch. Paid 50% deposit online (to secure our booking). Upon arrival, they demanded we pay the FULL amount, including the 50% already paid, even though we had proof of payment. Our table had been given to someone else, so they just placed us in a corner, at a table which was NOT set for lunch (cutlery & glasses missing, etc.). We waited about 15 minutes before a waiter took our drinks order, then another 10 minutes, just to be told that they had no Soda, and most of the Milkshake flavours were not available, this was not pointed-out to us when we placed the order. When it came to the Buffet Lunch, we queued for over 30 minutes to get our food. Now The food The food tasted OLD, like leftovers for the day before. Most of the meats were exceptionally DRY, the roast potatoes were HARD & TASTELESS. The only food item that tasted fresh were the salads. Were were NOT able to order any more drinks, as our waiter disappeared, and we couldn't find her for almost TWO hours. While we queued for another 30 minutes for deserts, our table was given to someone else. There were not enough desert bowls for all the guests, so we had to wait for the first batch of guests to finish their deserts, then those bowls were rapidly washed, and then we got desert. The deserts were very nice (we were very surprised by this), however we had to eat desert very fast, as the kitchen staff were waiting at the dinning hall entrance, to wash the desert bowls, for the next batch of guests. When we wanted to leave, they then admitted to over charging us by 50%, and wanted to refund us by EFT, but after some time, they gave us the amount they over charged us, in cash. We then struggled to leave the venue, as the dirt & grass areas were too wet to drive through, as their parking area is down a very steep embankment. It was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, one which we WILL NOT be repeating again at Magalies Manor, EVER AGAIN.

Magaliesburg Manor hosted the launch of Child Welfare Magaliesburg today as their charitable contribution. The staff and management were outstanding in their efforts to ensure the launch was a huge success. The venue is beautiful and would highly recommend it to anyone.
