This dam is a natural wonder. a must visit for all lovers of travel and nature. The natural habitat is in relatively good conditions so there is alpt of wildlife around for viewing. There are fish to be caught for those angling enthusiasts. Nice place to take the family for camping. its not a place to got wild and party, rather a place to go into the wild, to be at peace.

Beautiful setting. No problem getting a campsite out of school holiday season. Facilities good. However, the concept of supplying food that should be better than cool/warm at breakfast has not been grasped.

Always a great place for a family holiday to get away from the city. Chalets are awesome to stay in and well keep. Pools and activities always great. And the fishing is awesome. I would recommend you stay a few days to a week to find out what peace and quiet is with the family.

Camping during December holiday. Has a lot of positives : we'll stocked shop, enough clean pools, maintained putt-putt course and the dam for fishing. The restaurant on site has an excellent menu at VERY reasonable prices. Negative: Being a large group during a busy period left us with a negative experience. Sites are not pre-allocated. Having booked 3 sites, it was difficult to find a space big enough to accommodate us although we were assured there are a lot of space. Sites are not clearly marked, resulting in anybody grabbing any space and any power point with no assistance/direction from management in sight. We ended up on a site with very little grass next to the smallest bathroom on site. Won't take the chance to come again over a semi/peak period. Too far for a normal weekend breakaway.

We camped for a weekend, it was great. The staff is very friendly. The shop on the premises stocks almost everything and is open from 7:30 to 20:00. The toilets are very clean and neat.

Restaurant staff was great. Boat ride awesome, the tour guide went out of his way to look for game and made a great effort to tell us some of the history of loskopdam. Cabins were clean and staff from reseption to gate guards were friendly. I will definitely recommend to all my friends

I've spend many fishing and camping weekends here. It's ideal to break away and just enjoy nature and relax. Not the cheapest camping spot but very clean and very well organised.

Some of the best fishing in SA if you have a boat. Nice new chalets but almost always had issues with staff. Great facilities to keep kids busy.

Went in December, so it was a bit crowed, but the place itself is amazing, a warm water pool, a regular water pool and a kiddies pool. Unfortunately there are slides but the putt putt golf kept us entertained. The place is definitely worth another visit. Will definitely recommend.
