Had a business function here, the food was great - and reasonably priced. Service was ok. The atmosphere is really rustic with a cool artistic vibe. Furthermore, the do have a nice selection of craft beers. I would recommend this restaurant.

Interesting place - full of nooks and crannies. The food - not so great. But hey - if you're REALLY hungry, you'll eat anything. 5 Stars for "interesting places to visit" - 3 stars for "interesting places to eat".

A great rustic cafe, with a fantastic ambience, and great location for those using public transportation. Has a book area/ corner and for a book worm like me, that makes the place all the more great, along with shelves throughout the cafe, for a "book store" look and feel. The waiters are very friendly, the food wasn't to my taste, but my friends enjoyed it. For me the atmosphere is what sells this place.

EXTREMELY disappointed in this restaurant.

We were joined by a family member who had a five year old child. Upon them being seated we were asked to leave the restaurant because we had a child with us. Absolutely ridiculous! It's fine to have a dog in the restaurant and chickens roaming in the restaurant,but not a child? The pathetic excuse given by the hostess/manager was that they had a legal battle with a previous customer because their child fell into the water so they found it best not to allow any children into the restaurant on weekends ONLY. Makes very little sense.

We were moved to a secluded outside area which looked like a smoking area with an empty box hanging in the tree,dirty ashtray and dirty seatings. The only reason we didn't leave was because we had already ordered food and were waiting for our sister and nephew to join.

Our food wasn't that great either. My ostrich fillet was so over cooked and tasteless. My sister had the basil pesto pasta which also was terrible.

The only three good things from this visit was a great coffee and biscuit, delicious veggies and friendly waitress.

Sorry,but you won't be seeing me again nor have me recommend you again.

They always have the best breakfasts. I love the fact that it's genuine "Boere cuisine" There are dogs and chicken in close vicinity, which is awesome! Anybody will love it here.

Such a unique place. The food is great and the coffee is superb. I love popping into the ceramics studio, on the same property as well as the 2 little nurseries.

Shocking service, flies everywhere, food overpriced and disappointing to say the least. Over an hour wait for food, despite the restaurant not being overly busy. Lemon meringue granular and made with lemon essence instead of real lemon juice. The only thing serious about the serious salad was the price- R77 and almost entirely lettuce. Recommend you avoid this establishment if you appreciate excellence and good food!

A lovely relaxing setting with a great menu. The interior is well designed and home to a bookstore and an furniture design shop. The cafe is near the Karoo Square with its interesting pottery, nursery and a framer. It is a great place for lunch. Florence is a great waitress.
