This is a very nice game reserve with excellent guided tours. Tours are well-priced and very informative and there is plenty unique animals to see. There is a restaurant with fresh deli-style food.

The total experience. A staff that cares for your every need. A chef who provides a delicious & varied menu for every meal. Knowledgeable guides full of stories about the flora & fauna. Our time there was well spent.

Had an amazing time here. Staff we attentive, room was amazing, the lodge was brilliant. Food, oh my god, couldn't fault a single thing. It was a buffet style and the range of choices were great. Dinner by the fire pit every night was magical. As for the reserve, well the drivers and guides were amazing, we never felt like there were 8 or 9 other vehicles in operation as we all went separate ways. The spotters were so skilled they we managed to see the Big 5 after just 2 days and then we were lucky enough to repeat on the other days. Cars were kept at a safe distance and never interfere with the animals. So you really get a sense of no human interaction or intervention, the animals were truly wild. I have travelled all over the world's and this has been my favorite of all my trips. If I could offer any advice Do a safari and come here, you won't be disappointed.

Kapama River Lodge was everything we would like & more. We were very nervous taking our children who are 10 & 7 years old, however the staff at Kapama were very accommodating & treated our children so well. Marinus our guide & Bernard our tracker were amazing & a great team who worked well together and their persistence ensured we were able to see the big 5, particularly the elusive Leopard. The hotel is in great condition & furnished beautifully with a local touch. The family spa suite is very large and the kid's beds fitted nicely. Be sure to stay 3 nights in order to enjoy this lodge & you will get to see the big 5 plus more! One negative is that the Kapama reserve has huge power lines running through in one section which makes the park less natural but if that doesn't bother you then this is the place to come to if planning a trip to greater Kruger National park.

What an excellent place to get closer to the nature! We utterly enjoyed our time here. All big fives can be spotted here and the guides are knowledgeable, helpful and ours went out of his way to find the animals. In addition, the guides are also passionate about their work, which made it as fun as it can be.

Kapama is the best jungle lodge that I have ever seen.

Absolutely beautiful here. Food is very good and something for everyone. Suites were super nice and comfortable. Our guide and tracker, Phillip and Kenneth were excellent and very knowledgeable. Honestly, the only drawback is the wifi gets very weak in the rooms but a quick walk to the library and wifi signal is very strong and reliable for posting all your safari pics. I'd recommend putting the phone down and looking around. It's quite an amazing place.

What a wonderful experience to stay here. The rooms are comfortable with a balcony/patio that looks out into the bush and at night you have a clear view of the Milky Way. The guides and trackers are all friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Our guide Freedom and Noel tried their best to get us to see the Big 5, taking us literally through the bush, but we only saw 4 (the leapard was hiding out in the lodge. The food was very good with a variety of food.

My husband and I stated at Kapama Game Reserve during our honeymoon and we're so grateful for the kind, thoughtful and generous staff we had the pleasure of working with at Southern Camp. We spent three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms were beautiful, the staff was great and the morning and evening game drives were more exhilarating than either of us expected. I would highly recommend Kapama for anyone looking to experience a truly memorable safari in South Africa.

Fantastic reserve with great safari tours. Passionate guides with full respect of the nature. Exceptional experience and a good chance to see the big 5.
Not as crowded as the National Kruger Parc, which makes it an exclusive experience.

It is probably the best private game reserve in Kruger. The place and guides are fantastic!
We did both the game drive and the tour around the different cheetah's cages. Although we didn't had the luck to saw neither the lion or leopard in the game drive we saw them after in the tour. So you always gonna be able to see them all!response / report this review -
