Had some sushi here on the half price sushi Wednesdaysm
It was the fourth time that I tried sushi and it was the best sushi that I ever had.
Great atmosphere, great vibe.
It is quite busy on their half price sushi day.
The waiters is very helpful and friendly.
We had a problem with our order and it was immediately resolved.response / report this review -

Pro: seafood as good as in a coastal city.
Con: wheelchair seating awkward in the non-smoking dining area, due to fixed seating.
We shared a sea food platter with mussels, grilled calamari, prawns, fish and vegetables. Instead of vegetables you may also have salad or chips.
Meat dishes are also served.
The patio smoking area is very pleasant overlooking willow trees with a fake water wheel feature.

We walked in I had the urge to walk out and so we did. A family of five walking into a restaurant. Sat down and felt the need to walk out. The service was horrible. The tables were dirty. You know that feeling when you rest your hands on a table and it's sticky? Yeah that happened. And we moved tables because of that but didn't change anything. The floor was also dirty. That time we visited here when it was rather empty. The waiter was hardly anything that resembled helpful. The aroma waffling about is not of decent seafood but of stale oil. Maybe we should have given a chance to this joint before reviewing but chances are if I can smell stale oil I'm eating oil that's not been changed for at least the past month and I'm not comfortable with it. Not the first time I've had a bad experience with John Dory's.

I would just like to inform all sushi lovers of a change in one of the menu items. My friends and I love deep fried shushi and ordered the deep-fried futomaki, only to discover that it doesn't contain a deep fried crust anymore! Upon sending the dish back, the waitress returned with the dish, informing us that the sushi chef told her that is how they were told to make it now. Despite having no issue with our waitress' service, the low quality of sushi is not even making half-price sushi worth it anymore.

Use to be good. Sushi use to be awesome. The current sushi chef have no idea. Have been there twice where it was far below par. Bring back the genuine sushi chefs.

When we got there all the tables that were open was dirty. Had to go and call someone three times before they came to clean our table and then waited about half an hour to be helped and then about an hour for the food to arrive.

Horrible service waited an hour for a table, 2 and a half hours for food which was wrong and waited for another half an hour! The waiter and manger were rude this place is always a problem would 10/10 never recommend to anyone! Exstremely disappointed!

I don't know if the management has changed, but this is not the restaurant I visited at the beginning of the year. The food is delicious and our waiter was kind and helpful. Job well done!
