Food is fine, service can be improved a lot.
We ordered sushi as a starter, but it ended up coming after the food. Which we also waited almost a hour for.

Not too bad, but I have had much more value for my money and the service leaves room for improvement. You do get the impression that the owner doesn't come onsite too often. One visit, to me, was ample.

John Dory's in Williams Street, Klerksdorp was for the last 6 years our favourite restaurant. Today was the opposite - the service was real bad!! We could not believed it. The restaurant was not very busy, but when we arrived there was no waiter to seated us. The tables was not cleaned after the previous persons left, and was still full of there dirty dishes. We got seated at a small table while waiting for a waiter to helped us. After waiting for 15 minutes, a waiter finally arrived at the outside seating. We asked her to please clean the bigger table, so that we can sit there. After a further 10 minutes, the table was finally cleaned and we got seated. She took our order for drinks. When she and another waiter arrived with the drinks, the junior waiter made a mistake and pour a quarter of the cool drink on the table. Then they have to clean the table again! We placed our food order, and we waited almost an hour for the food to arrived. When it eventually arrived, the food on two of our plates was cold. as I said before, it was not very busy, so I don't now why the staff seems so as if they don't no how to do their work. They did not came and asked if everything was fine with the food or if we want more drinks. So, after an hour waiting for our food, our glasses were empty and we wanted to order more drinks, but their was no waiter. This was the first time that we had such a bad experience with John Dory's in Wilkoppies, so I think they need to get there house in order. It was not just us that was dissapointed in the service, the customers of two tables next to us also complaint about the lack of service. So, something serious is going wrong at this Restaurant, and that is so sad, because it always was a very nice restaurant.

My kids enjoyed the playground area and there was always someone looking after them. Food was great and they have half price sushi on Wednesdays.
