  We waited an hour before we were notified that the chicken ran out, the chicken is frozen, they were not happy with the quality of the chicken. Not the first time that service was not great. We did receive a few garlic rolls on the house. We should have been informed sooner. The beach view from the deck is nice.

  Hi all.i love the sea food at John Dory's Summerstrand but you guys have to do something about the service in that store.It's very poor and slow.hope you will improve on your waitering skills.

  Service gets a bit slow on a weekday night. The seafood is main stream for a coastal town because they cater for what most people like. If you are a tourist and want to know what a South African seafood place serves then this would be one of your go-to's. The hot chocolate is really good.

  Worst experience ever. Various waiters tried to take my menu from the table because they were clearly running low although I had only ordered my first drink and also stated I was waiting for someone. My friend and I waited over an hour for sushi that was then delivered on one plate with missing orders. They were simply not prepared for a crowd even though it was half-price sushi on PAYDAY. Extremely disappointed in the service.

  We went to John Dory Summerstrand on Sunday. What a disappointment. The food was not nice at all. The onion rings batter looked like it was cooked days before. The spinach looked like dirty water and tasted like medicine. My daughters mussels tasted like it was old and the cream on the milkshakes tasted like it was sour. And we were given a dirty fork. When I asked for a spoon for the shakes . we were first given teaspoons then later given the long dessert spoon. Their standard has really gone down. We always used to go there . but after Sunday, I don't see us going there anymore as we both had upset tummys the next 2 days.

  Worst John Dory's ever,waited over a hour for 3 starters and two main meals. Very disappointing, could've gone somewhere else for supper.
