Really lovely gardens! Great for picnics, family and friends! Also great for kids parties! There are benches and tables scattered throughout the park. People walk around selling ice-creams, hats, balls and other goods.

Nice place to walk, have a picnic or function. Now with a nice gazebo for weddings too. I Sometimes is still a bit dirty after weekend or function

Great picnic spot and entrance is free. During peak times the bathrooms were neat and clean. The only fault I could find was the limited parking during December

Was a wonderful experience all together. It's very spacious and has amazing scenery, a perfect place for a romantic picnic or a day out with the kids. You can start a fire and make some meat while the kids play in the kiddies area within seeing distance from the main attractions. Definitely something to see whilst in Durban. To top it all off the area was used in a proudly South African film Spud.

Great for family gatherings and such on weekends. Consider having your kid's birthday partys here!
Really dangerous when the area is quiet. Robbers know who to target, and the area does not have sufficient security.

A serene, beautiful park to spend a day with the family or for a quick stop with the kids. A decent play area and lovely walking pathways.

This place is as beautiful as ever, such a pity about the rising crime that makes the local residents a bit nervy about going there during the weekdays. The weekends are always packed through and it has a wonderful vibe.

Very beautiful scenery, wonderful outdoor kid activities but has a reputation for being a dangerous place for small groups.

The gardens were unkept, although you can see there once was real beauty. Place is absolutely packed over weekends, hard to find parking and have a relaxed 'zen' time..such a pity
