This place is amazing. The food is always fresh and superb. Can't resist coming back here. Staff are all friendly and awesome. I have a crash program such that I keep missing the Happy Hour from 5PM to 6PM in the splendid St. Andrews Pub. Wish it could be extended.

Great conference venue and lovely hotel, well situated in the Winelands and close to the Cape Town international Airport. Has a lovely bar and Restuarant and a Hairdressing salon and beauty salon on the premises. For the people who want to keep in shape, there is a small gym facility. For a four star hotel, it good value for money.
For business or pleasure this is a lovely venue.
My Recommendation: YES!! recommended.

There's a reason this place is famous. I merely had dinner there with my team and I'll remember it for a long time. The food is out of this world. Among the best meal I've ever had in my life.

I have just spent my 22nd wedding anniversary at the Lord Charles and I could not have asked for a better gift. The warmth which envelopes one from the time that you step into this establishment really sets the tone for the rest of your stay. We were warmly welcomed and I was so touched by the gift of handmade chocolates, a beautiful card wishing us on our anniversary and a bottle of superb non alcoholic grape juice awaiting us in our room. The attention to detail is superb. As usual the outstanding culinary fare on offer at the sumptuous breakfast buffet really shows that this is a world class establishment. One gets the sense that everyone who works at the Lord Charles are very happy to be there. Everyone goes out of their way to greet you warmly and assist where necessary. This was my second stay and I was not disappointed! I shall most definitely continue visiting the Lord Charles.

Cleaning staff woke me up when they knocked on my door at 8am to check if I was still in there. Checkout was only 10 or 11am!!! So you can imagine how irritated I was at this interruption of my sleep.

The rooms are a decent size and brown. No art, no pop of colour.

On the plus side, the foyer and lawns are beautiful. Other than that I wouldn't go back.

The place is fantastic, serene and clean. The staff are always ready to serve you with a bright smile. The food is delicious and fresh. Lastly the place is situated to next to a nice shopping complex i.e. Waterstone Village Centre.

Excellent service. Everyone is friendly and always willing to help. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Catering is very decent, with a large variety. Perfect for holding large conferences.

This is the fist time I stayed at this hotel after visiting on two previous occasions for functions. The hotel grounds and entrance hall is very well kept but the rest of the hotel is dull and lifeless especially the hallways that leads to the rooms. Not colour or art whatsoever. The rooms are comfortable and cosy, but our air-conditioning unit was extremely noisy and the placing of the lights in the room is puzzling . Room service was prompt and tasty. Breakfast was mediocre and some of the items tasted stale, coffee was horrible. It really needs some work. With a few minor changes this hotel can be great.

Well situated. Not far from the beach and good shopping centres. The staff are excellent. Rooms are very comfortable. Nice pool area. Cosy bar and great food. You have to try their pork belly!

Lovely stay and experience. Clean and spacious room. Awesome bar and pool area. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and real value for money. The restaurant, La Vigna is average and could be a lot better. Overall, definitely recommend the hotel and would go back again.

Beautiful hotel. Pity about the service a La Vigna; It was slow and lacking in excellence. Poor menu for light tappa style meals on hot sunny days.

A really wonderful place to stay. Excellent restaurants and bar, friendly staff (mostly) and nice rooms. Some buildings are much too far out - and one must walk a considerable distance between the room and reception.
