5 star service the half chicken, wow. To die for and just the people as went for some time. They really get to know you. And are so friendly. Also have these water sprayers of such fine mist its incredible. Really miss this place. The buzz the feel the people. And ya can smoke indoors lol. But beer and food are well and truly in a league of their own. You can feed a family of 5 for less than 4 quid. Well rand anyway.

Great place to visit to catch up with friends. Amazing variety of beer and rum, everybody was so friendly - even the cleaners! Our waitress was a star! Her name is Flatter if I remember correctly. The food was also quite good, just a tad overpriced for what you get. Otherwise brilliant. We'll be back - all the way from Alberton!

Very strict security. They tend to be pretty impatient once they have decided to close. Prepare to down your last round while a giant man watches you.

Great beer. Good food. Sometimes a bit raucous but always a good night out

After several visit I still cannot get enough. The #3 Black (IPA?) Is amazing and cannot go with out grabbing the milk and honey.

Great place for a drink and some socialising! Whether you're looking for a week night after-hours with some colleagues, or searching for an evening hangout with mates on the weekend, this is the place. Hogshead Rock Cottage has great craft beers, an up-to-scratch food menu (try their smokehouse fair), and covers the sport on their tv's and big screen. All the staff are friendly, and I have yet to experience any problems.

If you're looking for an amazing "watering Hole", check out this bar and restaurant.

Lively music, great cocktails/drinks and their food is delicious!

Best times to go are Wednesday after work, Thursday after work and Friday from ±2pm.

It's generally a festive place, space is limited so you'll want to arrive a little earlier.

Beer selection has gone down in the last year. Pulled pork burger though is one of the best you can find in Joburg. So if only going for the food the pulled pork burger is amazing.
